2020-06-21 THE JAPANESE VENDING MACHINES

It is difficult to resist when you see the delicious illuminated drinks bottles in the vending machines in Tokyo. I was particularly taken with Japanese drinks. The surprise factor also counted here, because I couldn’t read the labels. My daughter Cara is too spoiled for choice here.

2020-06-20 INSIDE THE MARINA BAY SANDS

The photo shows the big lobby of the Marina Bay Sands. This large building has many bridges and plateaus from where you get an overview of the scenarios on the different levels. The ground level hosts many restaurants and shops—a dream for photographers and architecture enthusiasts.

2020-06-19 TRAFFIC LIGHT ON GREEN IN BARCELONA

The traffic light on green and the motorcycles start groaning. I saw this scene at every crossing in Barcelona. And the bikes are always first, agile and fast, the best option to coming forward in a city.

2020-06-18 THE PILLARS OF THE MOSQUE

My memory card was almost full after many of the photos I took in the Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Abu Dhabi. On the way to the exit, I could still shoot this picture with the illuminated columns. For me, a great photo at the end of the visit.

2020-06-17 MAN WAITING FOR HIS GIRLFRIEND

Gate crossings with the incidence of light always provide a good mood for street photography. The light and shadow differences make a simple scene appealing. Don’t forget the next photo tour of your hometown.

2020-06-16 JAPANESE GARDENS ARE SPECIAL

The tree species, the type of planting, and the harmony that results are the unique features that I like about Japanese gardens. The garden in Döbling in Vienna is relatively small but combines all the essential properties in its area.

2020-06-15 THE FLAIR OF THE FRENCH ALLEYS

Some bars, restaurants, dim lightning, the old alleys of French cities like here in Bordeaux have a unique flair. Hopping between the pubs and letting all have a good time. I shot this photo at my first half roundtrip through France, starting in Nantes and ending in Nice.

2020-06-14 ENTRY TO THE WINE GARDENS OF THE MEDOC

The photo shows the flat landscape of the Medoc, the large area where the Bordeaux wine grows. It is fascinating to see the endless grapevines perfectly aligned. Chalets, wine gardens, streets, that’s the Medoc. If you are there, don’t forget to attend a wine tasting.

2020-06-12 THE PIANO MAN

Recently I wanted to get a soda lemon with my wife, and when I entered Cafe Prückel, I saw the piano player. It increases the entertainment and makes the stay more pleasant. I always remember the song “Piano Man” by Billy Joel.

2020-06-11 TREE IN THE DANUBE FLOODPLAINS

While I was walking with my brother in the Danube Floodplains, I was searching for some photo opportunities. The landscape there is flat and green with grass and bushes, that’s it. But in this clearing, I found my picture of the day. A majestic tree is always good for a photo.
