My wife Karin and I were able to take pictures of the wild boar unnoticed in the beginning. After a short time, we were noticed, and the animal headed towards us. A chain-link fence protected us but we still searched the distance. The wild boar tried to lift the fence with its trunk, good that we were then far away enough.

This time we decided to take a Sunday morning walk. We were with friends on a hill called Bisamberg. Some were disappointed because we couldn’t enjoy the prospect of a unique view from the top but, for me, an opportunity to take photos of the foggy trees.

The walks with friends on Sunday afternoons often lead to surprisingly great pictures. Allotment gardens with a swimming pond and sinking sun bring a world to the photos with the right exposure that looks attractive despite the simple frame.

The concrete bridge and the blue hour lean towards the evening with the trees in the winter mood. In winter, darker, slightly grey colors let the colder air feel. I took the photo in Klosterneuburg, a town in Lower Austria where good friends live.

I lived in a neighboring town to Kitzbühel. The Hotel Kempinski was a mixture of modern architecture and Tyrolean tradition. The deer with antlers is placed in a hall with wood paneling.

On Sunday afternoons, we like to go on a trip to the Klosterneuburg hills. We then hike with friends for 2-3 hours on dirt roads and meadows. The perfect finish is when the sky with sunset throws such lights as you can see in the photo.
