Often I book the flights 6 months in advance. Therewith you get the cheapest prices, I book solely via online booking portals.

For airport transfers I also use the online bookings. The taxi driver awaits you at arrival, mostly with a named sign. Sometimes a telephone call was required,
this was a bit less comfortable, but in the end it worked too.

Certainly online too, you get the car after arrival mostly at the airport. I would recommend Rentalcars.com , but the portals from Hertz, Avis, Budget, Sixt … work also fine.

Booking via online portals, depending on price sometimes I use AirBnB.

I can only recommend these platforms, I didn’t had any problems with bookings and start of the journeys yet.
