2020-06-03 ABSTRACT PHOTO BERLIN

The photo would be a good album cover for an electronic band. I wanted to bring a new view of Berlin with my pictures. A great German group of electronic music, even one of the inventors, was Kraftwerk.

2018-04-18   ARCHITECTURE IN BERLIN

Germany’s capital is not only the hot spot for Currywurst (curry sausage) :-), it’s also interesting to have a more in-depth look at the architecture. One day I was out with my photo-backpack and my photo-bag! My wife has warned me, because of a long walking day in a city with full-packed photo equipment. It was great for the variety of the shootings. However the next day I reduced the packings to the photo-bag. Primarily it’s time-consuming to take the equipment out of the backpack when the others of the group are already around the corner.

2017-06-15  BRIDGES IN BERLIN

Germany’s capital is a historical extravaganza, especially the occurrences you remember happened not hundreds of years ago, some are dated back only centuries. There’s the Checkpoint Charlie, “Unter den Linden,” the relics of the wall, the Reichstag, the Brandenburger Tor. I took a hop on, hop off – bus, with good weather and the open deck, the best way to explore the city on a higher level. And some modern architecture will impress you, too.

2017-01-22 BERLIN WITH MODERN ARCHITECTURE

Beside the Currywurst  🙂  I have been fascinated by the diverse architectural styles in Berlin. It was interesting driving on the Spree and exploring the buildings which came along the river. I was standing at the reeling and was prepared and ready to shoot  🙂

2016-11-29 TWO TROLLS IN BERLIN

It was during a garden exhibition where different disguised people showed themselves on the scenery. I think those were goblins or garden gnomes, however they enlivened the festivities and gave some additional photo motives. 🙂

2016-10-17 TENEMENT IN BERLIN

Berlin is full of tenements, built with very strict and simple form, rectangular, no fancies, clean, classical buildings. For me this looks really German.

2016-07-19 SCENE FROM BERLIN

Taking the boat trip on the Spree shows you many interesting buildings and sceneries on the left and right of the river. For taking photos you have the advantage to get motive after motive without walking dozens of miles  🙂   I prefer this way of exploring …

2016-05-23 BRIDGES IN BERLIN

Bridges in Berlin are very contrasty to bridges in Venice, architecture is more often on the modern side. I think both of them are cool and are valuable to take photos and many of them will be keepers.

2016-05-21 THAI FOOD ON STICKS

Thai meat sticks with a sweet-sour chilli dip is a very delicious snack. One or two sticks are mostly not enough, at least for me. Especially if you can get them fresh roasted and drink a very cold beer thereto. I could get this all as described at a botanical garden festival in Berlin.

2016-04-07 BERLINER ARCHITEKTUR PER SCHIFF
