2021-11-08 STOCKHOLM STREET PHOTOGRAPHY

Stockholm offers many opportunities for street photography. Often the images are suitable for black and white. Here in the photo, the different levels and the streets with the buildings complement each other.

2021-05-11 CYCLING IN STOCKHOLM

In the Nordic countries, they love cycling. In the cities, you can find bicycle highways. I am more the car guy, but sometimes I also like to grab a bike and speed up to point A to B. It’s fun to lean the bike against a lamp and then go for a coffee. With the photo bag on the back, you are always ready.

2020-03-26  UNDERGROUND

Where can you go in Stockholm? Visit the underground stations, and you will get a unique sightseeing tour. I never spent half a day shooting underground scenes before, but in Stockholm, I couldn’t stop.

2020-03-16  TAXI IN STOCKHOLM

This time, the taxi was faster than Uber. Captured with wide-angle lens, the Samyang 14mm 2.8 AF lens for Sony E-mount.

2020-03-08  SUBWAY IN STOCKHOLM

Showing the speed of the subway on the photo. Many of Stockholm’s metro stations are art installations. You can stay there for half a day with shooting photos. Be sure to search at Google, where the most favorable stations are. On the way there, you can always take a snack and then concentrate on your photo tour.

2020-03-07  ON THE WAY TO A HOTEL IN STOCKHOLM

Often I go into hotels and sitting down at the hotel bar. I love the vibe of hotels, the coming and going, watching at the piano man, playing a song. It is a kind of cosmopolitan, of internationalism and often a place of great history.

2020-01-31  THE BAR IN STOCKHOLM

I think this lounge and bar was near the Wasa Museum in Stockholm. They brought new ideas to the interior, sculptures of a lion, trees beneath the sofas, and colorful curtains — the right place for a rest after a miles-long walking tour. After a double espresso, we were ready to visit the museum.

2019-11-13 ALL THE TRAFFIC IN STOCKHOLM

I never got such a snapshot where all the traffic of a city is in one photo. Bus, public bus, tram, motorcycle, and the nose of a car, all that happened in Stockholm, shot from a Red Line Bus. These buses are often way better than walking. You are on a higher viewpoint and, therefore, get a more spectacular angle of view on the picture.

2019-04-15 SUBWAY TUNNEL IN STOCKHOLM

I think there is only a handful of the artist painted subway stations in Stockholm. “Google” after it and take the subway for a station roundtrip — worth a look, more joy waiting for a train with so much creativity.

2019-03-26 CITY OF BIKES

I admired the harmony between cyclists and motorists in Stockholm, which worked harmoniously without aggression. Unlike my hometown Vienna, where a constant battle between cars and bicycles can be observed. Every road user sees the right on his side.
