2022-10-31 BUDAPEST SQUARE

After some rides with the Lime scooter, I stopped and took photos of the inner city frequently.

2021-07-01 A PALACE IN BUDAPEST

My brother and I escaped to this stately building from the scorching heat at noon. I think it was a music institute or something like that. As a photographer, you could take some snapshots home with you. The lights and interior design often give exciting perspectives.

2020-09-24 BUDAPEST MUSEUM TOUR II

My wife Karin and I passed the Széchenyi Chain Bridge, where we were on the Buda-side. Then we came to the Hungarian National Museum. Inside we did a walkabout in the lobby and entry area where I could shoot this photo.

2020-09-23 BUDAPEST MUSEUM TOUR

First, I thought we were entering the Opera, but then it turned out to be a museum. Unfortunately, I can’t remember the name. The impressive entrance area convinced us to pay a visit to the building. On the top floor, we could also enjoy a view of Budapest.

2020-08-12 TRAM IN BUDAPEST

Often the simple things impress me more like the sights. I immediately fell in love with the tram lines that run next to the Danube. That’s why I took a lot of photos there.

2020-08-10 STAIRWAY IN BUDAPEST

The stairway reminded me of M. C. Escher. Though ist was no endless, infinite loop, the stairwell in the circular room was someone you don’t see every day.

2020-07-31 PARLIAMENT IN BUDAPEST

The Parliament in Budapest is a huge building and a must-see. Unfortunately, it was not possible to go in; some guards informed us that it was closed. We could look at the massive building from the outside and come home with some excellent photos.

2020-07-24 LEICA M8 OR IPHONE

My wife does all her shooting with the iPhone. I countered with the Leica M8, and in the end, the pictures of the Leica are fascinating, though the iPhone does the job very well. I think with the Leica; it’s 80% optics and 20% software; with the iPhone, it’s the contrary. With these comparisons, the time passed while waiting for my brother on a park bench in Budapest.

2020-07-10 STATUE IN BUDAPEST

Budapest is very safe, and it is only a 3 hours drive from Vienna, I did my first visit to a foreign country after the COVID-outbreak. The city has many similarities to Vienna. In former times, Austria and Hungary were one country named Austria-Hungary. With an E-bike, it was easy to explore the city, and we could stop at many attractions.
