2018-04-29 AFRICA DAYS
The Africa Days brought some cultural and culinary highlights. Many tents where clothing, masks, necklaces, and bongo-drums were offered. The food was refined with exotic spices and colorful sauces. In the background, you could hear rhythmic drum and bass music.

2018-04-28 CHURCH IN SPRING
At a walking tour in Weissenkirchen, a little village in Lower Austria, I did that shot of the church which dates back to the 13th century. Since I had lower back pain, which resulted from some exercises in the fitness center, my camera of the day was Leica X Vario, which is easy to carry with an exceptional photo quality.

2018-04-27 FIACRE IN VIENNA
On the left side of the St. Stephen’s Cathedral there is the fiacre parking place. Many tourists choose these vehicles for a tour through the first district in Vienna. For me, it was a nice photo shot during a walking tour in the city.

2018-04-26 NIGHTLY STREET IN BARCELONA
For this photo, I used my mini-tripod at street-level to shoot that nightly street, which leads to the Placa de les Cascades. I had dinner already, my colleagues were on the way to the hotel, I took the way to the Placa Espana. It was already 11 pm, traffic was low and the streets deserted. The photo session could begin.

2018-04-25 LONDON AT NOON
After having an excellent lunch at that deli on the photo I used the time for a digestive-photo session. 🙂 I got on my knees and was ready. Some pedestrians disturbed the scenery but in the end, I could get the photo I wanted. Some meters on the left Little Venice starts, which got also covered with some pictures.

2018-04-24 SPRING IN THE SCHÖNBRUNN GARDENS
More and more people gather in the cafes and restaurants of the Schönbrunn Gardens. The spring season has arrived, you feel it when the trees and plants blossom and the weather gets warmer, and you can store your winter jacket at home for the months to come. I recommend the walking tour from Schönbrunn Zoo to Schönbrunn Castle and uphill to the Gloriette, which brings you a bright view over the city. This tour belongs to the top 10 attractions to do in Vienna. I had my little Nikon Coolpix A with me, the APS-C marvel.

2018-04-23 ROOF OF SHOPPING MALL IN ISTANBUL
I was impressed by the big shopping malls in Istanbul. I shot photos in different angles and compositions, as shown on the photo in the post with the gigantic roof made with steel beams.

2018-04-22 NEW YORK WEST SIDE
Standing on the Rockefeller observation deck, I made shots in all four cardinal directions. I wanted to have New York shots without the Empire State Building also because New York offers excellent views wherever your glimpse lands. I shot The photo in this post without a tripod and higher iso, which is sufficient for many darker shots, mainly if there is strong crowding on the deck.

2018-04-21 SUNSET IN BURANO
You have to take a boat to arrive Burano. My wife Karin and I took a three-island-tour from Venice where we came to Burano at later afternoon. We had one hour to explore the city and take photos. Since the village isn’t that large, I finished a photo-marathon where I had seen every little street and canal with these neat, colorful houses and could do a sunset shot from the church with the crooked tower.
