2020-02-29  SUN IS GOING DOWN AT CINQUE TERRE

My wife Karin and I did the walk from Corniglia to Monterosso over the Cinque Terre trail. After arriving at our destination, we saw a fountain on the central plaza. The cold water was drinkable, a present from heaven after a heat of 40 degrees and a four-hour walk. Then we ended at a little restaurant eating Calamari and shooting some photos from the sinking sun.

2020-02-27  LIFE AT THE BEACH

My wife Karin and I had only one afternoon on the Atlantic coast in France. We took the extra drive of about three hours, but it was completely worth it. A broad and fine-grained sandy beach with the rushing waves of the Atlantic. Some surfers in the back, otherwise only the beach and the sea. Combined with a fresh wind, it was an afternoon to remember.

2020-02-26  THE COLOSSAL CATHEDRAL

Colossal, the best description for the Milan Cathedral. The sheer size and dimensions are overwhelming. If you study each art-piece, structure, and historical painting, you will be engaged for days.

2020-02-25  MY WIFE ON SUNDAY AFTERNOON

My Sunday afternoon photo walk is a mixture of street and portrait photography. If my wife stays patient, I can shoot more photos of her; otherwise I come home with a set of city-photos.

2020-02-24  EVENING IN MARRAKESH

Since I was self-driving in Marrakesh, I can tell you it is different. Different than in Europe, more dynamic, more action, more surprises. I managed to get into a parking garage. And then the path to the main square Djemaa el Fna was in front of me. It was pushing and shoving to get there because a big concert was announced on that day. But I was able to take photos during the crush.

2020-02-22  REFLECTIONS AT THE SCHWARZENBERGPLATZ

The photo shows one of the coffee houses at the Schwarzenbergplatz in Vienna. For many, the place to have a coffee. For me, a spot to get a photo with the reflections of the illuminated streets in the windows. The coffee houses are particularly suitable for large glass surfaces. After the photo session, there is time to get a coffee.

2020-02-21  REFRESHING WALK NEAR THE ALBERTINA

I like the surroundings of the Albertina in Vienna. A lovely area for a walk. The cold evening air ensures a clear view and good photos. For me, one of my favorite things to do, a walk, and a photo tour.

2020-02-20  LIVING IN A CUBE

It could be a challenge bringing in the interior and living in a cube, as shown in the photo in the city of Rotterdam. There were some architectural particularities in the town, worth mentioning and worth to have a look. Even there, you also have coffee shops; they are not exclusive to Amsterdam. 🙂

2020-02-19  STREET ACTION IN BARCELONA

I had one hour for street photography before my appointment at the Hard Rock Cafe in Barcelona. I nearly shot the battery of my Leica X Vario down, so many opportunities for shooting on the streets. On the photo is the dynamic of the cyclists. In the foreground a scooter. On the left a passenger in a hurry. Typical street action in Barcelona.

2020-02-18  TERRACES OF IMLIL

While driving down the Atlas Mountains, we saw a lovely coffee house. There we got excellent tea on the terrace. We got a great view of the Imlil valley. I was able to position myself well to take great photos of the valley with the mountain slopes. I was impressed by the Leica Vario-Elmar 35-70 F4 lens mounted on the Sony A7S.
