2020-01-31  THE BAR IN STOCKHOLM

I think this lounge and bar was near the Wasa Museum in Stockholm. They brought new ideas to the interior, sculptures of a lion, trees beneath the sofas, and colorful curtains — the right place for a rest after a miles-long walking tour. After a double espresso, we were ready to visit the museum.

2020-01-29  CLOUDY TEL AVIV

A massive band of clouds has laid over the port of Tel Aviv. In isolated cases, the sun still manages to breakthrough. The last rays will soon dry up, and the thunderstorm will begin.

2020-01-27  VIENNA AUTO SHOW II

Mercedes is challenging the industry with this full-electric car. It will be a tough ride for Tesla because the design and ergonomic look better; the overall experience is more attractive. Inside the cockpit and dashboard are digital with perfect craftsmanship.

2020-01-25  JOSHUA TREE IN THE SUNSET

When you drive into the Joshua Tree National Park, you don’t immediately stumble across the trees. My wife Karin and I drove 30-40 kilometers until we saw the first trees. The photo shows the approaching sunset of parts of the tree that were bathed in atmospheric light.

2020-01-23  SNOW HAS FINALLY ARRIVED IN VIENNA

My first steps outside to the Ringstraße and it is snowing on Sunday evening. With my camera in hand, it was my first snowy photo of Vienna this season. I hit the right time for lovely colors and atmosphere.

2020-01-22  THE EYE OF THE BMW

The most voluminous and powerful car at the Vienna Motor Show was the new BMW X6M. I shot a photo of the eye of this muscle SUV with 625hp. This car is not for everyone, with a price of € 235.000,–. 🙂

2020-01-20  RIVER CLYDE IN GLASGOW

Although rain was pouring down most of the time when I was in Glasgow, I used the half an hour dry period to drive to the river Clyde and shoot some night-photos. I had to turn some circles on the street until I arrived at a location where I could safely place my tripod. Many modern buildings sideline the river. Reason enough to bring some pictures with the reflections of the illuminations home to my portfolio.

2020-01-19  PHOTO ESSAY: TIME TO VISIT A MARKET

My son and I often announce a visit to a market on Saturday afternoons. Most of the time, we want to visit a kebap stand because to get our lunch. For this, we decide to go either to the Naschmarkt or to the Kutschkermarkt. A camera is always with me. Last Saturday, the decision was made on the Kutschkermakrt, and I decided to take the Leica X-Vario with me. The lens is one of the best Leica lenses ever made.

2020-01-18  WHITE FACE IN THE ANIMA GARDEN

I enjoyed that garden. It was built by the Austrian artist Andre Heller. From Marrakech, it’s about a 40 minutes drive. There is a significant entry door. After buying the tickets, you start by taking a path and then hiking along the trail. You will discover various art exhibits that are placed between the plants and on the edge of the way.

2020-01-17  VIENNA FROM THE FLAK TOWER

The “House of the Sea” lies in one of the Flak Towers in Vienna. My wife and I visited the marine exhibition there with my brother’s niece. In the end, we came to the roof terrace with a broad view of Vienna. I was able to take some great city shots with a panorama of houses and thick, dark clouds.
