2019-12-31  TOWN HALL PARK IN VIENNA

After the weekend purchases at the food market Naschmarkt, we stopped at the town hall park. I enjoy half our walking and getting fresh air on a Saturday afternoon. My son Maro was with me, and he had the patience to pose for some photos. I tried to get the face lighted with different artificial lights coming from an advertising sign and a colorful street lamp.

2019-12-29  STREETS OF VERONA

Some parts of the streets and alleys are made of marble in Verona. This city should be on the top 10 list of cities to visit in Italy. I stopped there on the way to Cinque Terre for a night of rest because I had a 700 kilometers drive by car from Vienna to Verona. My time there was to short to catch that many photo opportunities, which I saw.

2019-12-27  JERUSALEM AT CHRISTMAS

After leaving the old town, I saw that three-level building with Christmas motives in each of its windows. A nice add-on to the mixed culture- and religion city of Jerusalem.

2019-12-26  SAY ‘HOHOHO’

An electrical Santa Claus was hanging between the walls, as seen in an alley in Venice. I was never at Christmas time in Venice, but even at begin of January, the Christmas decorations are still set up.

2019-12-24  I NEVER STOP WORKING OUT

There is also daily training on the holidays. With hard training and long cardio sessions, I feel less guilty when I grab the Christmas cake my wife baked. Then there is the Christmas dinner with my parents and the day after that with my parents-in-law. Therefore always stay in shape. The photo was shot in spring in Gold’s Gym Venice.

2019-12-23  PARKRING HOTEL

Hotel at the Parkring in Vienna, between the Stadtpark, Ringstrasse and the First District which is the old town, or called Innere Stadt. I like older hotels with history, where past times have left their mark on the lobby and furnishings.

2019-12-21  THE PIANO IN VENICE

Venice is always good for surprises. By chance, we went to an exhibition where we saw a variety of musical instruments in historical rooms. The Gesamtkunstwerk Venice also convinces in the interiors, unique what we got to see there.

2019-12-20  SITTING OUTSIDE IN THE WINTER MONTHS

Many restaurants have installed radiant heaters. So you can make yourself comfortable even in the winter months. Like here in the photo of my son Dorian, who is sitting in the restaurant Schwarzes Kameel.

2019-12-19  MAK Museum of Applied Arts

Once a year, there is an exhibition where all museums have free entry until 1 am in Vienna. My wife Karin and I visited four museums within four hours, and I brought home about 500 photos. The picture of the day is the entry room of the MAK, which I shot with a wide-angle lens.

2019-12-18  ESCALATORS IN ROTTERDAM

I have “lost” my family, so I spent my waiting-time with eating coconut domes and shooting photos in the big Market hall. On the picture, you see the perspective from above on nested escalators. At the endpoint, you will get into the garage.
