2018-07-30   DANUBE FROM ABOVE

I looked after an appropriate starting place for my DJI Phantom 4 Pro quadcopter. On a meadow between wine gardens I found it, and within five minutes I was ready to fly. The River Danube embedded in the beautiful landscape of the Wachau gave a likable motive for a drone photo. A historical and culturally exciting area with castles, ruins and old wine villages.

2018-07-28   STAIRWAY IN VIENNA

Since mostly I have a camera with me, even when I am walking around for fun, it happens that I get surprising snapshots. I saw that couple going down the stairway and liked the scenery with the embedded church and the steep houses around. I took that photo and had one more in my vast collection of city shots.

2018-07-27   STREET WITH TRACKS OF THE CABLE CAR

My colleagues and I took the cable car from Fisherman’s Wharf all the way to the Market Street. We got a place on the outside at the reeling, standing on entry-slat, with one hand holding on the buttress with the other side taking photos. It was an exciting tour with some shots of the high streets of San Francisco. I would recommend this tour, great fun and an experience to retell.

2018-07-26   MUSEUMSQUARTIER IN VIENNA

On the photo you can see the main entrance to the Museum Quarter in Vienna. Inside you can see the Egon Schiele exhibition in the Museum Leopold. On the museum plaza, there are some hip bars and restaurants and dozens of plastic seats in violet color for chilling out.

2018-07-25   COAST NEAR DUNDEE

I was standing on the cliffs while shooting this sunset. It was a lucky moment, raining stopped two hours ago, and the sun and the clouds showed a beautiful nature spectacle. For me it was essential to see some cliffs in Scotland, that was the reason why I took “the extra mile” from Edinburgh into the North. But it wasn’t so easy to find the access path to the cliffs, the nav brought me into the greenery to a farm, so I had some trial and error to reach my desired destination. Never give up, often it turns out satisfying for your photographer’s needs in the end. 🙂

2018-07-24   MARINA BAY SANDS FROM THE 6TH FLOOR

I was on the way to the lightning show at the Gardens of the Bay as I captured that scene from this spectacular hotel. I fetched my camera and started to shoot before I made the way out. If you want to visit the garden-show, ask at the reception for the right direction, you can be lost very fast in that big area.

2018-07-23   TERRACES IN LOWER AUSTRIA

The highest mountain in northern Lower Austria is named Manhartsberg, and its height is about 500 meters. On the mountain top, there is a perfect plateau for starting quadcopters. You have the whole land with many terraces and fields under you, perfect for some drone photos.

2018-07-22   RIVER EEM NEAR AMERSFOORT

A typical representation of the Netherlands, green and lush grass, flat landscape and rivers which bring the water for agriculture. River Eem runs through the Eem valley and is emptying in Amersfoort. Be careful with the bridges and locks, if you are driving a boat. Sometimes they are so low that you have to duck your head or call a lock keeper to open the bridge for you. Once it was only a few centimeters which prevented our boat roof from scratching, I was breathing deeply and thanked God afterward.

2018-07-20   FLOWERS IN THE FLOWER DOME SINGAPORE

The flowers-wonder world in the Singapore Flower Dome. They have built flower-stations with vegetations from all time-zones and continents of the world. If you study each sign with the information from the different flowers and plants, you can stay there the whole day. I started a photo tour where I shot from the entrance to the exit all variations, angles, and colors.

2018-07-18   LAKE PROMENADE IN VELDEN

Velden at the Wörthersee is a special place for vacation. The lake has drinking water quality, a lake promenade for a relaxing evening walk, and street musicians and artists which present their performance. For the revelers, there is a casino and a disco-club with lounge to turn the night to day.
