2020-11-15  BRIDGE IN DUBAI

I think Dubai is pretty deserted these days too. The photo is from better times. I went on a foray through Dubai by night with my wife, Karin. I took the opportunity to photograph the incredible architecture and was thrilled by this curved bridge.

2020-11-14 CLOUDS IN TEL AVIV

The long wooden walkway at the port of Tel Aviv shouldn’t necessarily be the most attractive photo opportunity. But with the right clouds and the breaking sun, it quickly becomes a photo that you want to keep in your portfolio.

2020-11-12 LITTLE INDIA IN SINGAPORE

I’ve been to New Dehli before, so I wanted to visit Little India while in Singapore. From the moment I walked through the Indian Arch, you immediately felt like you were in India. Gold jewelry stores, electronics stores, and snack shops surrounded me. I visited an Indian temple from which I was able to take impressive photos.

2020-11-09 THE CASTLE WHERE MY BROTHER GOT MARRIED

In the photo, you can see the castle where my brother got married. The first record of the construction of Eckartsau Castle was as early as 1175. It was rebuilt several times and was a high-tech building with running water and electricity at the turn of the century.

2020-11-08 ELBPHILHARMONIE

The Elbphilharmonie is the building that everyone in Hamburg wants to see. Accordingly, there are already thousands of photos in all variants, at daytime and nighttime, with drones and smartphones. I’m contributing a picture with the Leica M8, taken from a not so common angle.

2020-11-07 THE GLYFADA PROMENADE

Glyfada, a district of Athens, has a long promenade near the sea. The way home to the hotel was a lot of fun; you could discover a lot and take enough photos.

2020-11-05 BEACH AND TREES IN LANGKAWI

I’m not that big of a beachgoer. In Langkawi, I could lie under the trees and read with the Kindle. But after a few hours, I was on the photo trip again and spent my time taking beach photos. I was lucky with this photo, great blue sky, clouds and the spray of the say over the sand with nice green and red colors of the leaves.

2020-11-03 THE KIOSKS IN ATHENS

I love the kiosks for the chilled drinks. I often get a Diet Coke or an electrolyte drink. While other shops have already closed, the booths still have lights on until late at night.

2020-11-03 THE RURAL HOUSE IN THE WACHAU

Rural farmhouses can be found between the terraced vineyards of the Wachau. They are characterized by clear structures and colors that are adapted to the environment. Some buildings have been converted into wine taverns, a welcome opportunity to stop off on hiking tours.

2020-11-02 GUARD MOUNTING IN ATHENS

My wife insisted on seeing the changing of the guard in Syntagma Square. I thought there were more exciting things but was then taught better. At dusk, with the knocking shoes, and the rehearsed movements, it was a great experience.
