You can find the beaches in Malta in the north. There is a unique atmosphere when the sun sets over the Mediterranean Sea, and the last rays light up the surroundings. The warm sun of the evening.

2021-05-18 THE ICONIC LANDSCAPE OF CINQUE TERRE
The coastal towns of the Cinque Terre are great photo opportunities. Many photographers had placed their tripods at the viewing platform to bring the best frames to the photos. I used a wide-angle lens to put the whole area in the scene, to cover the coast, the city, and the sea.

2021-05-17 STREETS OF BARCELONA
Some of the streets of Barcelona are unique. Very wide with several lanes for buses, cyclists, and pedestrians next to the car lanes in the middle. The intersections and curves are often built in such a way that the flow of traffic is optimal.

2021-05-16 BRIDGE IN VERONA
My wife Karin and I rented a scooter and were able to explore Verona. We stopped at this bridge, and we were impressed by the structure—one of the many jewels to be discovered in Verona.

2021-05-15 CANALS AND BOATS IN LONDON
I got to know this part of London by chance. On a postponed flight, I drove into the city and discovered the “Little Venice” of London. There are canals, bridges, and observation boats, a lovely experience near Paddington station.

2021-05-14 COAST AT THE HIGHWAY ONE
While we were driving along Highway 1 in California, we stopped several times to enjoy the view of the ocean. We then stopped a few miles north in a seafood restaurant where we sat on a terrace with a sea view.

2021-05-12 OTTO WAGNER CHURCH
The church “Kirche am Steinhof” dedicated to Saint Leopold was built between 1903 and 1907 by the 63-year-old architect Otto Wagner, with mosaics and stained glass by Koloman Moser, and sculptural angels by Othmar Schimkowitz. An impressive piece of art and architecture.

2021-05-11 CYCLING IN STOCKHOLM
In the Nordic countries, they love cycling. In the cities, you can find bicycle highways. I am more the car guy, but sometimes I also like to grab a bike and speed up to point A to B. It’s fun to lean the bike against a lamp and then go for a coffee. With the photo bag on the back, you are always ready.

No matter from which angle you look at St. Mark’s Square, an impressive photo is always left behind. Few cities in the world leave behind such a mix of art, architecture, sea, and Italy as Venice.

There are also some green corners in Toronto. We took a sightseeing bus to take photos of the different parts of the city. Woman, wall, and tree, I love simple scenes.
