If you take the way from Vienna to Bratislava by ship, you have to enter a watergate. The process from sinking and lifting the ship lasts about 20 minutes, after this you can continue the journey. I like big buildings made from concrete and iron.
Barcelona combines spectacular modern architecture, impressive historical architecture and the famous Gaudi buildings. Beside of this, when walking around you get snapshot after snapshot, mostly no time to put the camera aside.
I am not that big fan of taking photos with the iPhone, I don’t like the form factor of holding and composing with this device. Recently I added the apps Camera+ and Aviary and gave them a try during a time slot I had between two appointments in Hungary. The results look pretty good I think.
It’s very liberal and forthcoming that you are allowed to do photos in a mosque. I can understand that tripods are forebidden, but within the zone for visitors you are very free to use your camera equipment. Before the entrance you have to take off your shoes, with this they are very strict and you should try to stay with the dedicated area and only go in without shoes. Using high iso is useful, I did this photo handheld with Sony A7S.
One of the classical motives are sea, sky and a jetty. All of this you get in Italy. It’s nice to have the different colors, smooth waves, some sea breeze and a beautiful blue sky and an overall relaxing atmosphere. After sea watching it’s time for an ice cream (gelati) …
The outback of Hong Kong surprises with villages, nice beaches and green vegetation. I think it could get very crowded at the weekend if the residents of Hong Kong would decide to visit this area. I was there on a Monday, so no problem 🙂
Malta roofs would be a good training ground for rooftop climbers. It looks like you could explore the whole city from the top, hopping from roof to roof with the advantage that there all roofs are flat.
The Netherlands are really flat, I haven’t even seen a tiny hill. The grass looks really green and lush, clear water and nice surroundings with well built houses. Overall very nice to live there and have fun.
This door reminds me of a secret door in a role playing game, where you have to search for a key or code to open it and get the entrance to the next level. You can find it at the Hearst Castle in California.
Can you imagine a wood where the trunks made from stainless steel, the branches and leaves made from steel wool and the blossoms made from crystals. It can be found in Wattens, Tyrol at the Swarovsky crystal world in the outdoor section. The whole exhibition is fascinating, a must see.
