2018-02-07   LIGHTS AT THE BRATISLAVA AIRPORT

For the first time, I took the Bratislava airport instead of the Vienna airport. You have to drive about 30 minutes longer, but the flights are way cheaper. It is a new, compact size airport where you don’t have to walk miles to reach your destination. 🙂  In the arrivals hall, I liked the mirroring of the lightning at the roof and on the floor. I took my Sony A6000 and positioned me with bended knees to get that shot.

2018-02-06   LOUNGE IN STOCKHOLM

This lounge in Stockholm, near the Vasa museum, paired with the sunny weather,  gave you the feeling of a Mediterranean party. You got cold drinks, watched at a lake and listened to chilling music. I walked around with my camera and was eager to catch the best scenes of that atmosphere.

2018-02-05   ISTANBUL. HOTEL

I was happy with my hotel stay in Istanbul. Near the Hagia Sofia, in the old town, only a walking distance to many attractions. A perfect fit for my family and me. Always I shoot photos of the interior and the corridors of the hotels, where I stay. Like this new, chrome hallway.

2018-02-04   TREE LOCH LOMOND

This tree in Loch Lomond reminds of the famous photo-community “Tree Wanaka”. It’s a similar, a bit smaller, lonely tree in the water of the lake. I was lucky because, for a short time, raining did stop. I used that “dry” time slot to shoot the photos. In the end, I had some Scottish-Loch images, although the whole area was under dust mostly, accompanied by heavy raining.

2018-02-03   EDINBURGH SQUARE

Edinburgh, the city which reminds you of the Harry Potter-movies. No wonder, Joanne K. Rowling lived there and wrote the first Harry Potter-book in Edinburgh. A historical town with many old buildings, typical Scottish. You can start early with a photography-marathon which will last till late night. The fitness tracker on my Apple-watch showed me 10 miles on one day. 🙂

2018-02-02   FIREWOOD IN TYROL

In many areas of Tyrol, people gather wood during the summer and store it in front of their houses. Very cheap way to heat the homes in the winter months this way. Manual labor, effort and time are required, and you get a big pile of stovewood.

2018-02-01   ABU DHABI FERRARI WORLD GREAT CONSTRUCTION WORK

Great engineering teams and building firms have built Ferrari World in Abu Dhabi. The construction work is impressing. Everything works well made, fastidious and exact ceilings in a significant dimension. Alone the pile is worth a visit, besides of this you get the fastest roller coaster in the world, named Formula Rossa. The ride is like from another planet. At the start, you get eye-glasses for protection, and the drive feels like you get catapulted into a new dimension.

2018-01-31   THE NEW VENICE IN MACAU

A Venice where no flood disturbs the sightseeing, no empty canals give a wrong view, no rain hinders you from walking around. Gondoliers ship you on smooth water, which is always blue, no corrosion on the buildings. This little Venice exists inside a prominent hotel in Macau. They have done great work to replicate the bridges, houses, and canals.

2018-01-30   HOUSE IN ST GALLEN

Beneath the Swiss cheese and Swiss chocolate, I found many of the houses and buildings in Switzerland have a unique style. Clean lines, unobtrusive adornments, a timeless overall architectural impression.

2018-01-29   ASIAN GIRLS WAITING AT THE HONG KONG FERRY

I used the waiting time at the Star Ferry Pier to shoot some photos. These two little girls were interested in my photo habits, at least they looked at me during photographing. I captured that image with the glass front of the ferry building and the two girls behind.
