2019-11-08 VAN GOGH MUSEUM IN AMSTERDAM

The Van Gogh museum is an architectural marvel. Some parts of the Van Gogh exhibition are turned into a multimedia experience with an in-depth analysis of the painter’s style mapped to illuminated parts of his pictures. Details of this building, like the stairway with the lights in the background, represent an exciting picture.

2019-11-07 MY WIFE IN ROTTERDAM

No, it’s not true that I am addicted to iPad and smartphones. Look at my wife; she takes any opportunity to look at the photo app, google maps, or What’s App. And my daughter, with her, you can add Instagram to the list. But for me, it’s my job as an IT Manager from an online entertainment company with 70% revenue from the mobile platforms.

2019-11-06 ALLEY IN JERUSALEM

Is Jerusalem the most exciting city in the world? I think so, walking around in the city, then you often believe that you are in a different world. The buildings, religions, history, and traffic merge for impressions you will never forget.

2019-11-05 THE FRENCH CHATEAU

When I was in the Medoc with my wife Karin, the daily tour was driving from Chateau to Chateau and shooting photos. A unique experience was seeing the extensive wine gardens where the Bordeaux wine grows. Every few kilometers, one Chateau follows after the other. Some offer wine tasting, those I liked most. 🙂

2019-11-04 MY DAUGHTER’S BIRTHDAY

The family was sitting in the Restaurant Plachutta. After order, before the food arrived, I was ready to take some birthday photos from my daughter Cara. Not the best light, but with the lens fully open and adjusted ISO no problem at all.

2019-11-03 FOLK MUSIC

Different countries, different folk music. I attended with my wife and friends the pumpkin festival in Zellerndorf. The village lies in the rural region of Lower Austria. We were sitting with a marinated pork roast sandwich and a sparkling Rose Prosecco at a wine cellar. Behind me, the musicians started with their performance — the right time to bring out my Leica X Vario and take some photos of the concert.

2019-11-01 BRIDGES IN AMSTERDAM

What do you love most in Amsterdam? The bridges and canals are in the top five of nearly every visitor, I think. They are so unique and in the best harmony with the houses and the bikers. It’s a good idea to switch back a few gears when you are approaching the bridge; otherwise, you can fast be stuck on your bike, if it’s too heavy with pedaling.
