2019-05-14 MY WIFE SHOT WITH THE SONY 135 A-MOUNT

It was a Saturday afternoon at dusk when I was at the roadside with my Sony A7R 2, LA-EA4 adapter and Sony Zeiss 135mm 1.8 lens. The model was my wife, Karin. I wanted to reach a beautiful bokeh, made up of street lights and car headlights.

2019-05-13 BUDDHA IN NEW YORK

I would never have seen the Buddha if the bus had not stopped at a red light and I had not sat on the first floor. I took the opportunity to capture a picture of the beautiful Buddha. For great photo experiences always keep your eyes open.

2019-05-12 ROMAN EMPIRE AQUEDUCT PONT DU GARD

It paid off that we took the extra mile to Pont du Gard in Southern France. This aqueduct was one of the highlights of the trip to France. It so happened that I was standing in front of it for the Golden Hour. The sunlight reflected in the arches with a golden glow. I wondered if the architects had planned it that way?

2019-05-11 TOKYO TICKET COUNTER FOR SKYTREE

After entering the entrance area to the Tokyo Skytree, we saw at first glance that we did not have to wait long. Luckily, the guide warned against long lines. Shortly after that, we were able to take the high-speed elevator to the observation deck.

2019-05-10 CITY OF PRAGUE WITH JET IN THE SKY

Uber took us to this part of the city; a commendable burger bar was there. After my son Dorian and I had eaten a Portobello burger, we were still looking for a cafe. I then took pictures of this unknown part of the city, which is mostly forgotten by the photographers. I think this combination of the TV tower and modern building a successful mix.

2019-05-09 THE MYSTERY CASTLE WITH THE PICTURE GALLERY

I can not remember in which castle I took the picture, but it was in Lower Austria. Anyway, it would be the best place to shoot a suspense thriller: enchanted rooms where people disappear, the perfect scenery for goosebumps in the cinema. Take your girlfriend with you and go through the castle; she will need a protector for sure.

2019-05-08 SPEED BIKER

The path at the Danube Canal in Vienna is a shared space, for walkers, roller skaters, and bikers. The speed bikers and the roller skaters are the most interesting to shoot. With my camera at the ready, I placed myself next to a tree at the wayside. When the next fast cyclists passed by I was ready. At slower shutter speed, I was able to capture the effect of the movement on the riders.

2019-05-07 THE GREAT SUN IN BARCELONA

My colleagues were already gone; nobody had the patience to stay with me, the photo-shooter. For me, it was perfect, no hurry to catch the sunset in Barcelona. I took the 2-mile trail to the hotel and had dozens of photos in my cam. Barcelona is fantastic for photographers who like streets, modern architecture and design. So I used every free minute after the congress, to take photos. Even in the night, I was out with my tripod for a photo tour.

2019-05-06 MY SON SHOT WITH THE LEICA

At times, I visit coffee houses in Vienna with my family. There we taste the best espressos, and I usually have my Leica on the table. After a short time, I start with portrait photos, here with the Leica Elmarit 28mm 2.8 V4.

2019-05-05 FROM WALKING TO DRIVING AT THE BEACH

Walking at the beach promenade in Tel Aviv turned fast to driving with the Bird e-scooters. My son was the first with the scooter; then the search continued until we were supplied with the Bird scooters. It was great fun to drive on the lanes, the beach and the sea on the right side and the hotels on the left. The e-scooters were very rare; everybody tried to catch one, a significant demand. Often the left e-scooters were only with a small percentage of load, so unusable for driving. In the end, we searched a bigger radius on the app; it’s worth it.
