2019-12-06  PRAGUE – A PHOTOGRAPHER’S DREAM

Prague has so many postcard motifs. There are neuralgic photo points which you should not miss. Even they are shot thousands of times. Who cares, everybody wants a photo of the Charles Bridge with the skyline of Prague in his portfolio.

2019-12-05  MY WIFE KARIN IN FRONT OF THE CHRISTMAS MARKET

Not far away from the statue which I posted yesterday, I made the photo of my wife Karin with the illuminated and decorated trees of the Christmas market in the background. Not a bad job for my Leica M240 with only available light as the source for the composition.

2019-12-04  STATUE IN 1010 VIENNA

1010 is the postal code of the first district in Vienna. In the Volksgarten, you can see that Roman looking building named “Theseustempel.” It is the home of many artists with changing exhibitions. In the evening the building was closed already, but I could shoot a photo of the statue in front, which represents the latest exhibition.

2019-12-02  CHURCH IN EDINBURGH

I used the views from Edinburgh Castle to shoot photos from the city. This photo is one of my favorites, with the unique style of the church tower. I have seen this gothic architecture is a typical style in Scotland; many churches look like this.

2019-12-01  COFFEE BREAK ON THE MARKET

Last Sunday I was with my family at the Brunnenmarkt in Vienna. After eating a Kebap, we went to an outdoor Cafe which served self-ground coffee. For afternoon happenings, I always have my camera with me. In this case, I made a portrait session of my kids. On the photo my son Dorian waiting for an espresso.

2019-11-30  FLAMINGO HILTON LAS VEGAS

I used my spare time between the business meetings for short photo tours. Beneath the Linq hotel, where I had my room, lies the Flamingo Hilton. The pink reflective facade with the palm trees gives a typical Las Vegas feeling. In the leisure area, they had a wedding chapel and at a little pond some real flamingos.

2019-11-29  THE WORKING MAN

This man is doing a real craft. It is called woodturning, similar to a lathe for metalworking. In the shop next door, you could buy chairs and tables. For some, it’s a hobby, for only a few a profession. The scene was shot in Lower Austria.

2019-11-28  BORDEAUX AND THE RIVER GARONNE

The reflections on the River Garonne from the opposite side of the shore cover the whole width. This was my photo session of all directions. The river in front of me, behind me the public dancers and on the right, the grass ways with the beautiful lanterns. The last two pictures I have already posted.

2019-11-27  THE STREETS OF CHICAGO

We found the 5-start recommended breakfast restaurant in a South-Western part of Chicago. After one hour drive, we were quite disappointed. The breakfast was far away from outstanding, as written in the recommendations. I am mostly satisfied with an omelet if the size is right (big 🙂 ), but with my wife Karin, it is more complicated 🙂 . I used the area for walking around and taking some photos of the streets.

2019-11-25  MY WIFE AT THE CHRISTMAS MARKET

Christmas season has started in Vienna already. The famous Christmas markets are open. I recommend trying some Maroni, which you get from the Maroni-Brater. Or fried potato dumplings, which are heated in the Maroni-oven well and served with garlic. And it is always a good time to catch some colors of Christmas in your photos.
