2020-04-09  FRENCH FARMHOUSE

On the way to Mont Sainte-Victoire, we stopped searching for a parking space. I wanted to have a look at the mountain as Paul Cezanne did. We found a parking lot near some farmhouses, which became a French expressionist photo.

2020-04-08  MAKING THE SCHNITZEL

On the photo is one of the few restaurants where you can watch making a Schnitzel. You get an appetite as you walk past, then you stop to watch the schnitzel makers. Shortly afterward, you sit in the restaurant and order. The restaurant is named “Schaden und Meisel.” But currently closed as all restaurants in Vienna.

2020-04-07  KARLSKIRCHE IN VIENNA

The Karlskirche in Vienna has been photographed thousands of times. Mostly with a tripod placed precisely in front of the church. I chose a different angle, slightly to the side with lighting in the foreground. As I often do with over-photographed sights.

2020-04-06  BUS IN BARCELONA

On the way to the Placa de la Universitat, I got scared. I was watching on my camera, as suddenly a bus came along the secondary lane. I stopped immediately and remembered the selfie shooters who got an accident because they were staring at their phones. I used the situation and was waiting for a second bus—this time with the camera at the ready.

2020-04-05  OUTDOOR SPORTS

Nowadays it got more difficult to do sports. Gyms closed, some take the dusty weight bench out of the basement others go running. Once a day, I catch some fresh air, and even at this time, you can shoot photos.

2020-04-04  PALACE IN AVIGNON

Take the visitor tour in the Palais des Papes; you will get a tablet with a navigation screen and a computer game to make the experience digital. The impressive rooms and halls are one of a kind. I often think of the architects and workers who built these buildings with simpler construction equipment compared to today.

2020-04-03  ROCKY BEACH IN MALTA

On the main island of Malta, you only have sandy beaches in the North. The highly populated cities like Valetta or Sliema offer only rocks for entry into the sea. Often you have ladders from iron and stone for a safe entry. No problem for me, it looks more wild and romantic with the jagged rocks.
