2021-05-14 COAST AT THE HIGHWAY ONE
While we were driving along Highway 1 in California, we stopped several times to enjoy the view of the ocean. We then stopped a few miles north in a seafood restaurant where we sat on a terrace with a sea view.

2021-05-12 OTTO WAGNER CHURCH
The church “Kirche am Steinhof” dedicated to Saint Leopold was built between 1903 and 1907 by the 63-year-old architect Otto Wagner, with mosaics and stained glass by Koloman Moser, and sculptural angels by Othmar Schimkowitz. An impressive piece of art and architecture.

2021-05-11 CYCLING IN STOCKHOLM
In the Nordic countries, they love cycling. In the cities, you can find bicycle highways. I am more the car guy, but sometimes I also like to grab a bike and speed up to point A to B. It’s fun to lean the bike against a lamp and then go for a coffee. With the photo bag on the back, you are always ready.

2021-05-10 PIAZZA SAN MARCO AND SEA VIEW
No matter from which angle you look at St. Mark’s Square, an impressive photo is always left behind. Few cities in the world leave behind such a mix of art, architecture, sea, and Italy as Venice.

There are also some green corners in Toronto. We took a sightseeing bus to take photos of the different parts of the city. Woman, wall, and tree, I love simple scenes.

2021-05-08 THE ROOF WITH THE POOL
From the roof of the Hotel The Palace in Malta, you have a spacious view over the island. It is lovely to go swimming in the pool in the evening and enjoy the view. Then you like to sit on a chair and order an Averna with ice and lemon.

2021-05-07 MOUNTAIN PEAKS IN TYROL
The Austrian state of Tyrol is located in the mountains. There are many ways to explore the mountains from the city of Ischgl. I am particularly taken with the mountain peaks, with the majestic masses of rock and snow.

2021-05-06 GRAPEVINES OVER VIENNA
Last Sunday, I hiked through the Viennese vineyards with my wife, Karin. The wine taverns in the area get their wine from there. At the same time, you get a spacious view of the city with the grapevines in the foreground.

2021-05-04 CHILDHOOD VACATIONS
These scenes from Savona reminded me of my childhood vacation. The beach with the carousel, the lighting in the area, and the ice cream stand. Certain things don’t change in Italy.

2021-05-02 FAMOUS HOTEL SACHER
The Hotel Sacher in Vienna was also hit hard by the lockdown. The home of the Sachertorte(Sacher-cake) has been shut down in emergency mode. Tourism should start again in mid-May.
