2017-10-09  OLD WATER WELL ON A MEADOW

I can remember that my grandmother had a similar water well. As I was a child, I had to pump the lever three to four times, then the pressure increased and with the next pumps, water was draining out of the faucet. Then I had to fill the water into buckets and pour the vegetable beds. Nowadays most of those wells are only relicts of older times and are used as decoration or get destructed by rust and weathering.

2017-10-07  FLAT BUILDING

The style of white, reduced houses, flat roof, clear lines, shot on autumn days. If I see such photos, I think about album covers of electronic music bands, like Kraftwerk, Air, Klaus Schulze. Then walking around with earphones and playing that music, with a grey sky and taking photos. A cool autumn day. 😎

2017-10-04  BEACH BAR AT THE LAKE NEUSIEDL

One of the last warm days, before cold autumn days, prevail. The beach bar “Fritz” in Weiden at the lake has a nice restaurant and an open-air bar. It’s only one hour from Vienna, great for a Sunday afternoon trip. For the winter months, they have prepared radiant heaters, so that you are okay with your cocktails and snacks.

2017-10-03  GALLERY IN THE NIGHT

On a mild summer evening,  I was walking through a village called “Pörtschach at the Wörthersee.” It’s a kind of summer vacation destination, with a beautiful lake promenade. The Wörthersee is clear, with drinking water quality. The warm breeze let me have an Aperol Sprizz at a bar, and on my way to the car, I saw that gallery which was worth a photo shot. 🙂

2017-09-30  OVER THE HILLS AND FAR AWAY

Hey lady, you got the love I need
Maybe more than enough
Oh darling, darling, darling
Walk a while with me
Ohh, you’ve got so much, so much, so much   © song by Led Zeppelin

2017-09-28  GOLF II

Driving with the golf caddy, eating bacon bread and drinking beer with lemonade at the eating stations, shooting photos and flying with the quadcopter. This was my schedule at the golf tournament in Adamstal, where I had my friend Christoph with me. He was responsible for the person shootings, and I took the landscape photos. 🙂

2017-09-19  CHURCH IN CARINTHIA

A quad tour on the hills of Carinthia brought me through endless meadows and alpine pastures, I saw natural lakes like the “Forstsee” and farm houses. At a short rest for a bottle of natural water, I saw that rural church and was ready to shoot immediately. The roofing is with wooden tiles, the area around the church wooden fenced.

2017-09-13  TYPICAL WINE STREET IN LOWER AUSTRIA

Along the wine streets, you see those houses with grape presses inside, often combined with wine cellars. The buildings are near the wine gardens, where the ways from the vintage to pressing stays short. In this area, you don’t have the big, industrial wine producers; there are many smaller vintners which try to produce the best wine from their grapes. Often vintage is done per hand, with wine scissors and tubs hanging on shoulders and back.

2017-09-10  HUNDREDS OF WIND MILLS

The Burgenland, or called “Land of Castles,” one of the nine states of Austria, is very flat. It’s an entry point for heavy winds, which is predestinated to win energy from wind mills. On the horizon you see hundreds of them, spinning their wheels slowly with the wind.

2017-09-02  OIL PUMP IN THE FIELD

Oil in central Europe is scarce, in Lower Austria, in an area called Marchfeld, you can find some oil pumps in the middle of the agricultural landscape. These pumps get operated by the OMV, are very silent during pumping. As I was a kid, I was there with my bike looking at it, going up and down, up and down. Now I take photos with my quad copter DJI Phantom 4 Pro.  🙂
