The last rays of the afternoon sun fill Hamburg’s Speicherstadt district. The canals are a location that fascinates you every time you walk, and indeed it demands a photo from every spectator.

2022-01-09 WILD GRASS IN SYLT
Sylt is a grand island right in the North Sea. Part of the island provides a jetty. There you can walk between the dune grasses next to the coast and admire the sea’s waves. In good weather, there are also impressive clouds in the sky.

2021-11-15 LANDSCAPE IN SYLT
The photo shows the eastern side of Sylt. There you can see fewer cliffs. It is flat with tongues of the sea that pull into the land. This landscape brings a new facet to the fascinating North Sea.

2021-08-30 HAMBURG SPEICHERSTADT
The Speicherstadt in Hamburg consists of large brick buildings crossed by canals. I stopped at many of the bridges and took photos from there. It is always good to strengthen yourself beforehand with a fried fish, a typical specialty in Hamburg.

2021-08-28 THE CLOUDS OVER THE NORTH SEA
The photo shows the sky over the North Sea in Sylt. The unique pink colors give the impression that the midnight sun is reflected in the clouds. That is a spectacle where you can spend the whole day, waves, spray, and stormy clouds over the North Sea.

2021-08-19 THE SAND DUNES OF SYLT
The scene on the photo makes Sylt unique: the dunes towards the North Sea and the wild seaweed in the wind. You can explore the whole island on a boardwalk, which winds between the hills and offers a view of the beach and the nice Sylt houses in the other direction.

2021-08-13 HAMBURG LEVEL 2
The building that everyone in Hamburg wants to see is the Elbphilharmonie. Here my wife is currently on the second level in the break during the concert. For the dark scene, the Sony A7S was perfect, the king of low light.

2021-04-30 SUNSET IN HAMBURG
Lots of Hamburg in one photo. Elbphilharmonie, Speicherstadt, and the canal out to sea. You only have to find suitable bridges for the images.

2021-01-23 HAMBURG ELB VIEW
The viewing platforms on the Elbphilharmonie provide a perfect all-round view of Hamburg. Harbor and sea on one side, the Speicherstadt on the other. The visit is free. Therefore the additional evening tour was a must with my Sony A7S in the hand.

2021-01-09 THE LONG BEACH IN SYLT
The west side of Sylt consists mainly of a beach. The sloping cliffs with long seagrass that merge into the sandy beach. The North Sea with constant waves and the spray. The clear sky with the white clouds completes the panorama.
