2016-10-23 RED BUILDINGS IN INDIA

Nowhere I haven’t ever seen so many red buildings as in India, like Red Fort in Agra, Red Fort in New Delhi. Even in the backyarod of the Tomb of I’timād-ud-Daulah in Agra you find many “mini” Red Forts like shown here on the photo. Many of these buildings are sights for their own.

2016-08-28 LITTLE INDIAN GIRL IN AGRA

At the Agra Fort suddenly this little Indian girl was running across a meadow. She looked very nice with the red dress so I shot this photo, I think she didn’t recognize it.

2016-08-23 ONE OF THE MOST PHOTOGRAPHED MONUMENTS

I think even each child knows this building, if not by name then by appearance. It belongs to the top 5 of the most photographed buildings in the world. If you are standing in front of it, it’s not so easy to get a good composition. The whole place is crowded with tourists, self-proclaimed guides, self-proclaimed photographers  🙂  and securities and every one is shooting photos. So welcome to Taj Mahal..

2016-07-08 TRADITION IN INDIA

Tradition is firmly grounded in the minds of the Indians. The women are mostly clothed with colorful and wide dresses, hair is formed in traditional ways and often bedecked with appropriate jewelry. But between the traditions the smartphone has established its status of the most used item.

2016-07-04 THE WALK OF THE INDIANS

This is the path you have to follow to arrive at the Lotus temple in New Delhi. It’s an endless coming and going, before you enter the temple you have to pull off your shoes and entrance is only allowed in small groups. Within the temple there is absolute silence and a meditative atmosphere.

2016-06-24 PARK IN NEW DELHI

One of the most fascinating cities of the world is New Delhi. Modern city areas, really astonishing sights, extreme traffic, stray dogs, apes and beautiful parks. This photo was taken near the Lotus Temple.

2016-05-19 AGRA AND OTHER TEMPLES

The Taj Mahal is not the one and only sight you can see in Agra. I would recommend the Tomb of I’timad ud Daulah, also a mausoleum and a little Taj Mahal. Surrounded by red brick walls it resides in a green park scenery, near the river Yamuna.

2016-04-30 LE MERIDIEN IN NEW DELHI

I would recommend to take a good western hotel in New Delhi. Sure, it depends on your need and expectations, but coming “home” after a day, fully powered with sightseeing, walking, exploring and taking photos, it is nice to have some kind of standard in your room, to relax and prepare for the next exciting day in this great country.
