2021-04-14 BIRDS IN MASADA
Upon the hill in Masada, there weren’t many animals to be found. But these funny, nimble birds have chosen the stone sculptures as their place of residence. They only paused for a moment; you had to be quick to take a photo.

2021-04-12 BAZAAR IN JERUSALEM
The bazaar in Jerusalem consists of many narrow streets. The variety of the offer is overwhelming. I bought a strong coffee with brew and a pomegranate juice. This one is the big hit; you can see it at dozen of market stalls.

2020-11-30 QUMRAN
Near the Dead Sea in the West Bank lies the archaeological site Qumran. The landscape reminded me of the Indiana Jones – movies. Though these are more or less only rocks, the formation and expression are unique. It is also the place where Dead Sea Scrolls have been found.

2020-11-17 HILLS TO THE DEAD SEA
At the foot of Masada lies this chain of hills that stretch to the Dead Sea. Again one of the natural phenomena that surround the Dead Sea. The area consists mostly of rocks, cliffs, and salt crusts, but the shape and appearance are unique.

2020-11-14 CLOUDS IN TEL AVIV
The long wooden walkway at the port of Tel Aviv shouldn’t necessarily be the most attractive photo opportunity. But with the right clouds and the breaking sun, it quickly becomes a photo that you want to keep in your portfolio.

2020-10-23 CHIN-UPS COMPETITION
While visiting the relicts of the fortress of Masada, I witnessed a competition. I saw a group of visitors who started to cheer with each other. Suddenly a pastor in full gear and a visitor started to chin-up. Luckily I had my camera ready and could catch that dramatic scene. I couldn’t remember who won, but it was a fun moment.

The Western Wall is separated into an area for visitors and then direct access to the wall, which can only be entered by Jews. An impressive experience to have been there.

2020-07-08 BAZAAR IN JERUSALEM
I think you get almost everything your heart desires at the Bazar in Jerusalem. From clothing to toys to pomegranate juice to freshly brewed coffee, you can see everything in these narrow streets. The bazaar is its eco-system and cultural experience.
