In the backyard of the winery I looked around and saw that really old olive tree. I liked his branches and the jagged trunk, nobody there knew how old it was, but for sure older than the buildings, because they were built around this tree.
Modica is an incredible fascinating city in Sicily, dozens of churches, hills overcrowded with Italian houses, great food and typical Italian architecture. Tomorrow I am heading to Oktoberfest in Munich. My lederhose is already packed 🙂 Since this year are more security controls where no backpacks and bigger bags are allowed, I have chosen to take my Nikon Coolpix A with me, nice photo quality and small size 🙂

Walking around in the wonderful backyards of castle Miramare is really relaxing, you get some nice shadows of big trees to hide from the hot sun. Many statues with artfully sculptures strayed in the gardens give unique impressions.
Grado is a relaxing town in Northern Italy directly at the Adriatic Sea. With this hotel pool you have a nice view to the sea during swimming and lying on a deckchair. Wifi is also available, a must because I always need my IPad for reading end (re)searching. 🙂

Near Trieste and castle Miramare you can find this bay with boats any yachts. Going downstairs you get a very good espresso and smell of fresh, salty sea air.
I have been at this agrirutrismo location in Sicily before noon, so I had to step back a bit with the offered wine tasting. There has been two kinds of red and white wine, olive oil and Sicilian with bread to try. After tasting it was possible to buy the products to enjoy them at home. 🙂
There are many similarities for the churches in Sicily, most are built on a higher plateau, have staircases to the entrance and are built from sandy stone and each church is a piece of art.
For relaxing here you have the ingredients: glistening sea, blue sky, warm breath of air, ships on the horizon, strolling on the boardwalk and looking after a cafe for some espresso or cappuccino.
