I was fascinated by this dense palm forest near the Atlas Mountains. Creepers have spread to the trunks. The leaves got a magical glow from the sun.

2022-01-22 PALMS AND THE ATLAS MOUNTAINS
On the way to the Atlas Mountains, we stopped at Andre Heller’s Anima Garden. A total work of art placed in the Moroccan desert. Shortly before curfew, I was able to take photos of palm trees and the Atlas on the horizon.

2021-09-20 MY WIFE IN MOROCCO
On the way down from the Atlas Mountains, there were several restaurant bars. They were located on the side of the road next to the downhill street. We decided to stop at a restaurant with a roof terrace. An excellent tea was served there in Moroccan tea glasses. The photo was shot with the Sony A7R2 and the Sony Zeiss 55 1.8 lens.

2021-09-14 NIGHT MAREKT IN MARRAKECH
The nocturnal life in Marrakech is crowding the market. From fresh dates to grill skewers, from dishes to carpets, you get everything you would expect from an oriental market. The site’s sheer size with the many stands, most of which are raised, is fascinating.

2021-06-22 ON THE ROOFS OF MOROCCO
The storks seem to feel at home in Morocco. The nests were to be found on the roofs all around. Always nice to watch these birds when they look in their nests.

2021-03-12 ANDRE HELLER’S GARDEN
A fixed destination for me in Morocco was to visit Andre Heller’s Anima garden. It is located 30 minutes outside of Marrakech and offers artistic sculptures between landscaped plants and trees. Remarkable when you can snap photos of the palm trees with the Atlas Mountains from the visitor center’s roof.

2020-07-26 SNOW IN MOROCCO
The road was almost over in the Atlas Mountains when we discovered the snow on the side of the road. Always fascinating, 35 degrees Celsius in the valley and on the mountains the last foothills of the snow.

2020-07-15 THE GARDEN OF ANDRE HELLER
The 40-minute trip was worth it. We had only 45 minutes before closure, so we had recorded the many impressions in a short time frame. Near the exit, I did a photo of the stone-circles with the sinking sun—one of the many artful decorations of Andre Heller’s ANIMA garden. Even people with an esoteric touch will love the garden.

2020-04-25 TREES IN THE ANDRE HELLER GARDEN
The garden Anima lies about 30 minutes south of Marrakesh. My daughter Cara and I arrived about 45 minutes before closing time. So we had to enter fast. However, it was a fascinating experience. Andre Heller has designed a remarkable landscape with individual plants, trees, and watercourses.

2020-03-30 MOROCCO ATLAS MOUNTAINS
Quite impressive, the higher Atlas mountains of Morocco. I think I was at the medium-altitude level, as high as the street from Imlil went. Not alpine climate but thinner air and snowy mountain slopes.
