2016-07-13 HIGH LANE PARK WALK

High Lane Park is an atypical park, though you have some trees, plants and grasses you walk on an old roadbed which is restored. By the way you can have some drinks and snacks and have a wonderful view onto the streets of New York. For me one of the top attractions.

2016-06-19 FAMOUS BUILDING IN NEW YORK

The Dakota building was on my to do list to visit in New York, because John Lennon lived there. At passing by I looked at the building and I wondered, that there were some windows which were dark or some kind of cabinets or wooden panels behind. However I liked the building and the surroundings. It was also the home of movie stars.

2016-05-28 CONEY ISLAND BOARDWALK

I have been fascinated by Coney Island since I heard from it first-time. It was in the Walter Hill-movie “The Warriors” where the gang had to escape from the Bronx through whole New York to Coney Island. Or David Bowie with his song “Slip away” and the lyrics “sailing over Coney Island ….”

2016-05-14 NO, THAT’S NOT ROME

When I showed this photo to some friends, they thought this is a backyard of a building in Italy or Rome. But I did this photo in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NY. I think this could fool many people, often reality and fiction are not so far away.

2016-05-12 NEW YORK AND THE INTREPID

For me, the only opportunity to enter an aircraft carrier is to visit the USS Intrepid in New York. It’s fascinating how much iron and metal has been used and how massively this ship is built. Not only on the deck, also in the cabins. A real cool sight in NY !!

2016-05-03 UPPER EAST SIDE BUILDINGS

I think New York could fill a photographer’s life fully, endless perspectives and motives all around the city. I think it is the most photographed town of the world, so it can happen very fast, that you are ending with motives, which have been photographed many times before. But for me, I enjoy nearly every photo of NY  🙂

2016-04-04 PARKPLÄTZE IN NEW YORK
