2019-09-21 STATUES IN PRAGUE

I can not remember from which tower I took the telephoto picture. Here you can see the richness of detail and the artistic design of the holy figures and ornaments. From the road, you throw up usually only a short view and has no binoculars, not the opportunity to explore the entire relief.

2019-09-19 DON’T MISS THE PRAGUE CASTLE

Don’t miss Prague Castle in the night. I was on one of the towers, beneath the Charles Bridge. You have to conquer at least a dozen wooden steps to get to the top of the tower. There I placed my camera with a mini-tripod between the castle battlements. It was the right time to photograph the Prague Castle in full illumination.

2019-08-01 VIEW OVER THE ROOFS IN PRAGUE

If the towers at the Charles Bridge are open, use the opportunity to get up. There are some stairs to climb, in the summer you will arrive drenched above. On the terrace of the tower, the reward will be a great view of the city of Prague.

2019-07-28 TOWER AT THE CHARLES BRIDGE

At both ends of the Charles Bridge are these impressive towers. They act like a magnet for all tourists and visitors. But that should not spoil your photos. Soon you will be in the floating mass of photo-shooting tourists with smartphones and all kind of cameras. Try to find the perfect angle for you and enjoy. Photographers have to live with many tourists at attractive locations. Via Instagram and Photo-blogs, the sights gain more and more attention. The same for me, often I get inspired by Instagram-posts.

2019-07-04 STREETS OF PRAGUE AERIAL

Prague is a historical city in the heart of Europe. From the Zizkov TV tower, you have a great view and the opportunity to photograph the city from above. Especially where it is difficult and usually forbidden to fly in densely populated areas with drones. Thus, a good substitute.

2019-06-05 THE BEGIN OF SOMETHING BIG

I wasn’t aware that there is an Apple Museum in the city of Prague. So I was surprised and attended the exhibition. You can see the first Apple computer prototype designed by Steve Wozniak, the photo above shows it. And the complete history of all Macs until the newest iPhone are exhibited. Even the Apple Newton and the first Apple laser printer are there. For me one of Prague’s biggest attractions.

2019-05-24 GUARDIANS STANDING TIGHT

The main entry to Prague Castle with the security guards reminded me of London where the guardians are not allowed to move or show any emotions. The best situation for a photographer, you have enough time for the compositions without the apprehension that the scene will change.

2019-05-10 CITY OF PRAGUE WITH JET IN THE SKY

Uber took us to this part of the city; a commendable burger bar was there. After my son Dorian and I had eaten a Portobello burger, we were still looking for a cafe. I then took pictures of this unknown part of the city, which is mostly forgotten by the photographers. I think this combination of the TV tower and modern building a successful mix.

2019-04-13 NIGHT IN PRAGUE

My wife stayed in a restaurant while I was on the bridge and shooting with a mini-tripod the hot spot of Prague. The Charles Bridge, the begin of the old town, the Old Town Bridge Tower and the promenade and park beneath the Vltava River, all on one photo and illuminated in good weather. What a lucky day.

2019-03-05 CHARLES BRIDGE IN THE MORNING

My son Dorian and I were visiting an Expo in Prague. We took a train-roundtrip which is about 4 hours in one direction between Vienna and Prague. On Sunday morning we had 3 hours spare time to visit the city, the first visit was the Charles Bridge from above. To get a great view, you have to enter the tower which lies on the city side. From there you get the view of the Vltava river, the Charles Bridge and the skyline in the background.
