2018-02-09   SINGAPORE CLUB SCENE

After visiting the Singapore Night Zoo, a taxi driver brought us to the party mile of Singapore. A hip area, with dozens of clubs and restaurants. I got the tip to visit the Zouk Nightclub, cool music, and chilly disco. 😎

2018-01-23   ENTRANCE OF THE MARINA BAY SANDS

Marina Bay Sands in Singapore, one of the most famous hotels in the world. After its opening in 2010, the photos and story spread via the news gazettes and media channels over the whole world. Mostly they show the building from outside. On the picture above you can see the impressive entrance where taxis and shuttle buses bring the new guests.

2018-01-18   BUDDHA TEMPLE IN SINGAPORE

On the first day, I arrived at the Buddha temple too late. I was standing in front of closed doors. So I decided to take a night shot. I positioned myself to get the doors with the statues, as guards of the temple, and parts of the roof onto the photo. After this picture, I was sure to visit the temple on the next day again, to take photos from the inside.

On the left street after the temple, there is an open-air food area, which I can wholeheartedly recommend. Very good Singapore-food !  🙂

2018-01-04   FOOD COURT IN SINGAPORE

Singapore has a good reputation for the great food you get. I can confirm this, at that food court I had a Korean barbecue. The cook prepares the food on hot metal plates, mixes vegetables, fish or meat with spicy sauces and sesame oil. With a metal spatula, he shoves the food on your plate. And you can start eating with your wooden sticks.  🙂

2017-12-06  SINGAPORE ART

Suddenly the double-decker bus brought my wife and me into a busy shopping street. After 2 hours of bus ride, we decided to get out and walk around. I spied a Sony store where I could have a look at all the new cameras and camcorders. Outside I saw that metal artwork which reminded me of the Medusa (although there were no snakes).  🙂

2017-11-02  CHANGI AIRPORT ESCALATORS

In the departure area of Singapore Changi Airport, I was able to shoot that photo with the long escalators. Again one of the architectural marvels you see at airports, but are often overlooked by the mass of people. Some areas of Changi Airport are high-level fashion malls. Others have different food courts from Chinese, Indian to American food. I tried a crispy pork with teriyaki sauce, very well tasting. 🙂

2017-10-24  BUDDHA TEMPLE IN SINGAPORE

On the first day as I visited the Buddha Temple I was too late, at about 7 pm the temple was already closed. The next morning I came before noon and got rewarded by this magnificent view. One of my Singapur highlights, a great and silent place, a temple you will never forget.

2017-10-01  GARDENS BY THE BAY IN THE NIGHT

Singapur, “the Switzerland of the tropics” impressed me with the Gardens by the Bay; the park consists of three waterfront gardens: Bay South Garden, Bay East Garden, and Bay Central Garden. For the best view, you have to visit the Marina Bay Sands hotel; there is an escalator to the sixth floor where there is a bridge to an observation deck where you get a great view. It’s free of charge 🙂 , also walking through the gardens is free! The area looks like a miracle of plants and lights. Highly recommended!!
