2019-03-26 CITY OF BIKES

I admired the harmony between cyclists and motorists in Stockholm, which worked harmoniously without aggression. Unlike my hometown Vienna, where a constant battle between cars and bicycles can be observed. Every road user sees the right on his side.

2018-12-07   GREEN PARK IN STOCKHOLM

Abba museum, Wasa museum, Vikings experience are many attractions of Sweden’s capital Stockholm. But often it depends, should you go in, is the attraction worth the price? Most parks are completely free and give enjoyment after a long walk on the hot tarmac of the city. I took a break on a bank. Then I looked at Tripadvisor to read the recommendations of the sights.

2018-09-14   RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT IN STOCKHOLM

How do people live away from the tourist paths? The photo shows a residential district in Stockholm, fewer tourists more Swedish people. A traditional area with 3-4 level houses, streets with parking lots, cross-walks and a man in a hurry and a young mother with her child.

2018-09-04   ON THE WAY TO SCANDINAVIA

Stockholm has deep waters which reach into the city; the cruiser was at anchor at a big concrete wall near a bridge and fabric buildings. It got prepared for a tour all around Scandinavia. I was a spectator only and thought about the effort of building such a large ship.

2018-08-28   WATERWAYS IN STOCKHOLM

It’s interesting how the waterways and canals integrate with Stockholm. In this city, you can feel the harmony between all kinds of traffic in the variety of cars, bikes, boats, buses, taxis, Uber and sometimes Segways. A broad Eldorado where you can choose from, which makes transport more fun.

2018-08-09   HOUSES OF STOCKHOLM

I took the opportunity of the bus stop at a red traffic signal to shoot a photo of the houses in Stockholm. At my three-days stay, I took a Redline-Bus for sightseeing. I am eager to get a place on the open roof where I have elbow room for handling my camera and lenses and be flexible enough to catch streets, people, and buildings. Mainly it’s also helpful to give your feet some rest from the hot pavements in the cities.

2018-03-23   STOCKHOLM IN THE EVENING

On my way back to the hotel I saw that atmospheric scene of the illuminated buildings and the boats which were lying on the silent water. I took my camera out of the photo bag for one of my last shots of the day. Since it got a bit cold already, my wife forced me to speed up with the photo session.  🙂

2018-02-06   LOUNGE IN STOCKHOLM

This lounge in Stockholm, near the Vasa museum, paired with the sunny weather,  gave you the feeling of a Mediterranean party. You got cold drinks, watched at a lake and listened to chilling music. I walked around with my camera and was eager to catch the best scenes of that atmosphere.

2017-11-20  CYCLIST IN STOCKHOLM

Bicycles are high-ranking in the Northern European capitals like Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Oslo or here in Stockholm. Although I didn’t rent a bike, I was busy taking photos. There I noticed some harmony between the means of transportation. In Vienna, there is always a feud between cars and bicycles.  😕

2017-10-26  LONG STAIRS IN STOCKHOLM

The ideal stairs for Runtastic-users, bringing your fitness level on a higher plateau with stair climbing. 😎   I am more the guy for weight training, but often take my Nordic-Walking sticks for weekend tours with my wife. In Stockholm, I hadn’t my sticks with me. So I left the stairs for photo shooting only. 🙂
