2018-03-17   INDUSTRIAL

Abandoned factory buildings which nowadays the owners use for events and rave parties are often good photo motives, different from the standard tourist hot spots. I shot the photo in the blog article in a brewery building in Vienna during a coffee exhibition. There were coffee variants to taste the exotic flavors and brews. For me an opportunity to try my telephoto lens which otherwise stays at home too often.  🙂

2018-03-16   RED HOUSE IN EDINBURGH

I saw that scene by accident, the red house with the yellow traffic guidelines. I was ready for a fast shot, because the next cars were already approaching and I had the leave the street fast.  🙂

2018-03-15   THE REMARKABLE PARK

I arrived at the park entry via taxi. There is no Uber in Barcelona; they banned it. Many parts of Park Güell were under construction this year in January. Nevertheless, I was eager to take the shots I had in my mind before entering the park. For the heart of the park, you have to pay an entry fee, a more extensive area surrounding is free of charge. For the Gaudi art-work made from tiles and colored stones, you have to enter the inner circle.

2018-03-14   MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY IN VIENNA

Although the entry hall and the staircases are looking like a magnificent castle, the showrooms are outdated. I think it was back in the mid-50s when the building of the interior took place. The same is true for the taxidermically prepared animals. However, it has some charm to walk through these rooms with the parquet floors and the glass cabinets. All looks antiquated but artfully.

2018-03-13   NIGHTLY WAY IN BARCELONA

I shot his photo near the Placa de Les Cascades on a nightly walk in January. I visited Barcelona to attend the Cisco Live event. The weather was excellent, a light jacket or a sports coat was enough for the evening temperatures. I had my camera mounted with the mini-tripod, so I was ready for night shooting with different compositions.

2018-03-12   WALK OF THE LIGHT IN SINGAPORE

After a long walking tour through Singapore, my son Maro and I arrived at the Art & Science Museum 45 minutes before closing. Four different exhibitions were running; the remaining time was only sufficient for two. However, we entered and were impressed by that state of the art museum. The plastic-crystal walk of light illumination gathered my attention and was ready to shoot this art object.

2018-03-11   TEMPLE IN THE RAINFOREST

While driving through Langkawi, I saw that temple on the street side. I turned at the next street crossing promptly and soon parked beneath that building. There was one guardian, who looked that we pull off our shoes and then we could enter. It was a very colorful and detailed temple with many deities, from which we don’t know much as a Westerner. It was interesting to explore that foreign culture and take some impressions with us.

2018-03-10   WINDOW IN PRAGUE CASTLE

You can prepare for a more extended walking tour of Prague Castle. It’s the largest ancient castle in the world, with about 70,000 square meters (750,000 square feet). Even the Czech president lives there. After leaving a bigger ballroom, I saw that craft-fully built ceiling with that shiny window at the exit. Right time for a photo!

2018-03-09   SHOPPING MARKET IN SINGAPORE

A shopping market within a shopping mall tries to cover the diverse needs of the customers. For those who want the communication, the advice and the interaction at a shopping experience, this little market is perfect.

2018-03-08   STREET WITH VIADUCT IN VERONA

The many details you can find in Italian streets, you walk around, and suddenly there is a viaduct between two houses. You are on an ongoing cultural trip, to stay fit and keep on going, a double espresso helps. Mostly the Italians make it perfect, short, with the right amount of coffee foam and excellent taste. 🙂
