2021-07-06 THE CROWD ON THE STREET
I like the color film setting on the Leica M240 more and more. It creates a mood like a painted picture. Simple street scenes are abstracted and appear in new splendor. The photo shows the Kohlmarkt in Vienna.

2021-07-04 HOTEL IN DAVOS
The old wooden hotel on a mountain in Davos had an air of ancient times in it. It was kept in good shape and offered an experience between nostalgia and mountain panoramas. Outside there was a herb garden and a botanical garden to visit.

2021-07-03 MORNING SUN ON A GLACIER
To avoid the long queue of people, we were very early at the valley station of the Dachstein glacier. Once at the top, we were rewarded with sunshine between the dark clouds. A short time later, the sun outshone the clouds and began to illuminate the glacier.

2021-07-01 A PALACE IN BUDAPEST
My brother and I escaped to this stately building from the scorching heat at noon. I think it was a music institute or something like that. As a photographer, you could take some snapshots home with you. The lights and interior design often give exciting perspectives.

2021-06-29 A HOT SUMMER DAY
We visited the garden exhibition at Eckartsau Palace with my brother Christian. At 33 degrees Celsius, it was a hot summer day. It would help if you took pictures with high shutter speeds at intense sunshine; I left that to the Leica M8, with the shutter wheel in the “A” position. The camera selected 1/1000 for the photo.

2021-06-27 THE HIDDEN ENTRY
The photo would be the perfect introduction to a mystery thriller—a secret entrance to an unknown portico that men in black suits visit. A screenwriter could spin an exciting story from a secret society to an economic conspiracy.

2021-06-24 MY WIFE ON THE RINGSTRASSE
From time to time, I am out with my wife Karin for a photo shooting. I prefer the Ringstrasse. A three- to a four-lane street which makes a circle around the first district of Vienna. Additionally, there is a bike and walking lane embedded between trees.

2021-06-22 ON THE ROOFS OF MOROCCO
The storks seem to feel at home in Morocco. The nests were to be found on the roofs all around. Always nice to watch these birds when they look in their nests.

On leaving the Van Gogh Museum, a giant park combined with modern architecture awaits you. The park is very centrally located and connects many streets and sights.
