2021-07-18 READY FOR SOME CHAMPAGNE

On a Saturday morning, I paid a visit to the Schlumberger Kellerwelten. Dozens of vaulted cellars, built with hundreds of thousands of bricks, are the storage location for tens of thousands of sparkling wine and wine bottles. At the exit, you get some samples of excellent wines.

2021-07-16 CASTLE GATE IN MALTA

Many areas in Malta are reminiscent of the Middle Ages. Here in Mdina, you can experience a city with a moat and castle gate as an entrance. This city was also chosen as the location for the Games of Thrones filming. I’ve been looking for known sites and think I’ve spotted some.

2021-07-14 THE SINGAPORE NIGHT

Around the Marina Bay Sands, Gardens at the Bay, and the Ferris Wheel are attractive areas for an evening stroll. There are enough opportunities to take photos, my wife Karin often had to suffer from the waiting times while taking the photos.

2021-07-12 THE SILENCE OF THE LAKE

The large lake between Austria and Hungary is called Lake Neusiedl. It’s only 1.5-2 meters deep with a very muddy bottom. You often sink up to your knees in the mud. Reeds grow on the banks, the lake is called a steppe lake. Often one has the impression of standing in front of a sea, the horizon is so vast.

2021-07-04 HOTEL IN DAVOS

The old wooden hotel on a mountain in Davos had an air of ancient times in it. It was kept in good shape and offered an experience between nostalgia and mountain panoramas. Outside there was a herb garden and a botanical garden to visit.

2021-07-03 MORNING SUN ON A GLACIER

To avoid the long queue of people, we were very early at the valley station of the Dachstein glacier. Once at the top, we were rewarded with sunshine between the dark clouds. A short time later, the sun outshone the clouds and began to illuminate the glacier.

My brother and I escaped to this stately building from the scorching heat at noon. I think it was a music institute or something like that. As a photographer, you could take some snapshots home with you. The lights and interior design often give exciting perspectives.
