2020-03-30  MOROCCO ATLAS MOUNTAINS

Quite impressive, the higher Atlas mountains of Morocco. I think I was at the medium-altitude level, as high as the street from Imlil went. Not alpine climate but thinner air and snowy mountain slopes.

2020-03-29  LAST WEEKEND BEFORE THE LOCKDOWN

My wife Karin and I were in the “Schwarzes Kameel” for a later afternoon hangout. It was my last photo-session in a restaurant before the lockdown happened. Nowadays, I am out in nature, for pictures of my environment and the nearby forests, which I don’t pay enough attention to otherwise.

2020-03-28  THE MARKET IN MARRAKECH

On the first evening, I wanted to visit the Djemaa el-Fna market in Marrakech’s large medina. An experience you have to see. The traders stand at high market stalls and offer their goods for sale. It’s like made for photographers to showcase the market.

2020-03-27  VIENNA EVENING

Searching after new compositions, I came home with a photo of the Albertina Museum shot from the ground level. I always think about what picture to capture, which not represents the touristic motives of the smartphone crowd. However, shooting with a smartphone is ok, but often you try to find the most comfortable way because it’s so easy to take a picture. With the Leica M240, the opposite is true.

2020-03-23  RESTRICTED WALKING IN VIENNA

The meadows in the Vienna Woods are usually full of excursion guests. With the tightened restrictions on going out, only a few couples or hikers can be seen walking around. I do it the same way, but I also have a camera with me.

2020-03-22  MASADA WALKING

I also recommend going down the long stairs. There is a magnificent panoramic view of the valleys and the Dead Sea. The rocky landscape of the mountain also comes into its own better.

2020-03-21  GLASGOW AT THE RIVER

I only had the evening hours to take photos in Glasgow. As I drove through, I saw the illuminated buildings on the River Clyde. So I spent two hours with a tripod and long exposure on the two river banks. My family was out in the city center at the same time, which saved me a lot of impatience. 🙂

2020-03-19  ATLAS MOUNTAINS

The image shows one of my stopping points where I stepped out of the car to shoot the photos. The fascination of the Atlas mountains was the different nature of the mountains, from steep grass hills to alpine mountain peaks. And all of this close together.
