2017-03-03 BIG BUILDING IN CHICAGO

Wow, so many windows. A hard job for a window cleaner  🙂  One of the many buildings in Chicago which are worth to take a photo. I have shot hundreds, because of this I neglected my wife a bit, but we visited some cool coffee bars for compensation.  🙂

2017-03-02 GANDHI MEMORIAL DELHI

Our friendly taxi driver/tour guide brought us to the parking lot reserved for the memorial visitors. He always took a nap in the car, while we visited the sights 🙂 . Raj Ghat is located in a beautiful park landscape, after a short walk, you see the buildings of the monument. You have to put off your shoes and then walk on green mats to the memorial. It’s a silent and prayerful place, and you should take some time to remember Mr. Gandhi.

2017-03-01 HOTEL ON THE MOUNTAIN

This spa hotel is embedded between rocks and conifer forests. For those who are looking for rest and silence far away from bigger cities and traffic, that’s the right place.

I didn’t stay there, visited the lobby only… From this angle, it was a good test for my DJI Phantom 4 Pro  🙂

2017-02-28 VENICE FROM THE WATER BUS

Although the cruise with the water bus lasted about 45 minutes, I spent the whole time on the deck outdoors. It was very cold and windy, I had my wool gloves on from which I capped the fingertips that I could hold my camera better. It was the Sony A7S, “King of low light”, which I needed for that shots, because to place a tripod was not possible on the water bus. 🙂

2017-02-27 AUSTRIAN TUSCANY

There are many similarities between the Wachau and the Tuscany. One concise resemblance are the terraces for the vines which are built from natural stone, often by hand, which is very hard work, because it’s impossible to place construction machines there. Beside the wine, the Wachau is also renown for apricots.

2017-02-26 DIM LIGHT IN HONG KONG

If you hear Hong Kong, many think about the world famous skyline, the old junk boats and the ferry. For me there are also those little Chinese shops in dim light which make this city. They offer excellent food or spices, health products, dried fruits and cool drinks.

2017-02-25 DUTCH PIRATE SHIP

In Amsterdam you should try to get a bike very soon. This city is built for cycling, and for exploring the streets, canals, sights – there is no better way. And suddenly you will get some unexpected impressions, like here,  looking at a pirate ship  🙂

2017-02-24 INSIDE THE EXHIBITION GARDEN OF GLASS IN SEATTLE

It was about running the gauntlet with entering this exhibition. The camera in the hotel, iPhone with only 20% battery left, 4 hours before flight departure and the airline ticket on the iPhone in passbook. So I tried to reconcile all things starting with shooting the exhibition but save enough battery for my airline ticket.  🙂 then taking my luggage form the hotel, meeting my colleagues and taking Uber to the airport…

2017-02-23 DANUBE CITY IN THE NIGHT

Sometimes you have to go higher to get the shot you want, as here with the Danube City in the night. I was on the Leopoldsberg a mountain with an older castle which is not open to the public, because it’s a bit too derelict. But there is a great observation deck where you get a view over Vienna and enough place for a tripod  🙂

2017-02-22 TRAIN BRIDGE ON THE SEMMERING

This is a bridge of the famous Ghega mountain railway over the Semmering, which was the first of its kind in the world. Planned by Carl von Ghega and built in 1854 it even exists today and is in full operation. A real highlight between the mountains and the snowy woods.
