2016-05-11 VENICE, IN THE HOTEL

In Venice, for historical buildings and architecture, there is no need to go to a museum, often you’ll find it in your hotel. Like the interior of Hotel Palazzo Stern on the picture. This hotel is also very near to a water bus station, therefore fully recommended.

2016-05-10 ONE OF AMSTERDAM’S GREAT ATTRACTIONS

For those who are interested in beer brewing and don’t say no to some beer after the exhibition  🙂  visit the Heineken experience. It’s a fun walking tour about history and kind of stuff from which beer is made. That’s supported with multi media and some cool Heineken gadgets to buy.

According to Wikipedia Hong Kong has the highest number of skyscrapers in the world. 314 of those buildings which heights are over 150 meters are placed in this city. It’s always interesting to see the different architectural details, glass facades and materials used.

2016-05-07 TOKYO DOME IN THE EVENING

First I wasn’t sure if I should also visit Tokyo Dome, then I looked at the Google reviews and decided to go. It’s an interesting stadium, nice surroundings, for those who like it there is a roller coaster and a nearby, little theme park. I ate a very good Italian pizza, in Japanese style  🙂

2016-05-06 WALKING WITH A LITTLE HELP FROM THE APPLE WATCH

Nordic walking near trees and in the nature is a pleasure. Because I live in a city I like some “green” around for my walking tours. I go to nearby hills like Kahlenberg or Türkenschanzpark.

APPLE WATCH FOR WALKING

For these tours, lasting about an hour, I have my Apple Watch on my wrist with the “Outdoor Walking” program turned on, for tracking of my calories, the walking distance, the heart rate and the time elapsed. This is a really helpful tool, I can also save the tour to my IPhone to get a history and comparisons.

2016-05-05 TOKYO STREEET SCENE

My preferred way for exploring Tokyo is by foot. Walking around, looking, photographing … so you get the most expressions. But you cannot forego the subway, often it’s a need to take it, after you reached your target, you can start the next walking tour.

2016-05-04 TREE OF LIFE

The symbol of the EXPO in Milan was the “Tree of Life” or “Albero della Vita”, an architectural masterpiece, mostly built from wood, decorated with flowers, surrounded by water fountains.

This tree got his own musical suite from the Italian composer Roberto Cacciapaglia.

2016-05-03 UPPER EAST SIDE BUILDINGS

I think New York could fill a photographer’s life fully, endless perspectives and motives all around the city. I think it is the most photographed town of the world, so it can happen very fast, that you are ending with motives, which have been photographed many times before. But for me, I enjoy nearly every photo of NY  🙂

2016-05-02 GOTTHARD PASS IN SUMMER

Even in summer, you can see some snow on the Gotthard pass in Switzerland. If you don’t take the tunnel and drive over the mountain from Ticino to Uri, you get rewarded with beautiful valleys and mountain views. If you have the time, please take this way.
