2016-09-19 ARCHITECTURE IN NEW YORK

Where to begin and where to stop with shooting pictures of architecture in NY ?  I tried to make the pictures a bit more abstract, with the result that this can be a picture of any bigger city  🙂  But with NY, nearly every angle and perspective have been photographed already.

2016-09-18 CHURCH IN THAL

In Thal near Graz there is the most colorful church I have ever seen. It looks like a psychedelic wonder, the artwork has been done by Ernst Fuchs who is also a painter and sculptor.

2016-09-16 SHIBUYA CROSSING IN TORONTO

This reminded me of Shibuya crossing in Tokyo, not so big and filled by people, but looks similar from above. For taking this shot I have been in a restaurant where we got first class nachos chips with avocado dressing  🙂

unknown

Tomorrow I am heading to Oktoberfest in Munich. My lederhose is already packed 🙂 Since this year are more security controls where no backpacks and bigger bags are allowed, I have chosen to take my Nikon Coolpix A with me, nice photo quality and small size  🙂

2016-09-16 NEAR TRIESTE

Walking around in the wonderful backyards of castle Miramare is really relaxing, you get some nice shadows of big trees to hide from the hot sun. Many statues with artfully sculptures strayed in the gardens give unique impressions.

NARCOS

I’m currently zooming through season 2 of Narcos on Netflix. What a great series …
Wagner Moura plays his role great, I have looked after other movies with him, but I think nothing can match Narcos…

2016-09-15 FAMOUS STADION

Camp Nou is one of the world’s most famous stadions, it’s the home of the great FC Barcelona. Built in 1957 it hasn’t lost its fascination. If you are walking through the empty terraces and staircases,  in the back of your head you can imagine the excitement if those ranks would be full of people.

2016-09-14 LIGHTING IN THE MOSQUE

I really liked the lightings in the mosques I visited, the bulbs are placed on enormous rings of iron for filling huge parts of the building with light. I haven’t seen this form of the bulbs before, they suit very good in these facilities. There have been no restrictions for taking photos so long you stayed in the area marked for visitors.

2016-09-13 NIGHTLY WALK IN HONG KONG

My nightly walking tour started from the Hong Kong Observation wheel, next I went over a bridge near the Apple store and then directly into downtown. From time to time I stopped for taking photos of the city lights  🙂

2016-09-12 FAN EXPO AT TORONTO CONVENTION CENTRE

This was a very cool event with fully crowded halls of the Toronto Convention Centre and star guests like Stan Lee or William Shatner. Outside you could grab good hot dogs with sauerkraut and relish. Many of the visitors were disguised like comic and science fiction heroes. For this pano I used my iPhone.

2016-09-11 CLEVELAND ON A MONDAY MORNING

By visiting relatives in Cleveland we went to the docks at lake Erie. It was very hot that day. Since it was Monday morning there were only few people around and I took the opportunity to take some photos with my Leica X Vario.

2016-09-10 JAPANESE FAST FOOD STORE

I cannot spell the name of this fast food store, but that really looks Japanese, the font, the styling, the layout… Since I hadn’t the time to try their products I only took a quick photo.
