2016-09-05 BLACK BUILDING IN HONG KONG
As I booked the hotel room in Hong Kong I added the wish in the comments section, that I want a room on a very high floor. My wish got fulfilled, the room was on the 26th floor with a view around Causeway Bay with dozens of skyscrapers around me 🙂

2016-09-04 POOL ON THE ROOF AND THE SINKING SUN
The Palace Hotel in Malta offers a pool on the roof. It gives the impression that you swim over the city. With the sinking sun in the background this makes a nice evening, particularly if you, after swimming, sit down on the soft rattan chairs and you treat yourself with an Aperol Sprizz.

2016-09-03 THE GUGGENHEIMS IN VENICE AND NEW YORK
This is real contrast, the style and architecture of the both Guggenheim museums, one in Venice the other in New York (there’s also one in Bilbao, but I never have been there). For me it is a compulsive viewing to visit the Guggenheim museum, because the type of art there corresponds fully to my taste.

2016-09-02 HIGHEST BUILDINGS IN VIENNA
In Vienna it’s relatively easy to get the highest buildings on a single photo. There are only three with a significant height, the Donauturm, the DC tower and the Millenium tower. For this I tried the panorama modus on my Sony A7R with the Zeiss 135 1.8 ZA.

2016-09-01 HOTEL POOL IN GRADO
Grado is a relaxing town in Northern Italy directly at the Adriatic Sea. With this hotel pool you have a nice view to the sea during swimming and lying on a deckchair. Wifi is also available, a must because I always need my IPad for reading end (re)searching. 🙂

2016-08-31 LITTLE VILLAGE IN THE WACHAU
The Wachau is a region at the Danube in Austria with viniculture where the grapevines grow on stony terraces, a bit like in the Tuscany. Around the villages are broadleaf forests and little hills with ruins form the age of chivalry.

2016-08-30 FARMERS MARKET IN SEATTLE
Beside of the very fresh fish, exotic spices, good smelling soaps and healthy snacks the Farmers Market got famous because of that motivational book: “FISH: A Proven Way to Boost Morale and Improve Results” – the Pike Place Fish Market was the inspiration because of its fun, bustling, joyful atmosphere
