2016-11-20 CITY LIGHTS OF TORONTO

In Toronto you have the feeling being in an aspiring, trendy city. Also photos from the nightly skyline confirm this, many buildings look new and modern. I liked it, standing on the root top with a tripod and taking photos from all directions. Since there was a pool with hotel guests jumping into the water, I had to take care that my equipment stayed protected  🙂

2016-11-17 THE WHOLE WOLRD AT THE NIAGARA FALLS

I have never seen so many people form different cultures on such a “small” place as on the sightseeing deck of the Niagara Falls. It’s the ultimate exploring experience, the great spectacle of the falls and the visitors from the whole world.

2016-10-25 CIRQUE DU SOLEIL in TORONTO

It was a great experience to see the Cirque du Soleil in its home town Toronto. Luzia is the newest show, with great music, water effects and spectacular acrobatic performance. One of the events you will remember for a very long time. For a shot handheld in completely darkness, the Leica X Vario did a good job.

2016-10-21 TORONTO IN THE NIGHT

In the big cities I always search after a root top place to take photos with a tripod. In the Park Hyatt in Toronto I was lucky, because the outdoor pool was high enough to get a good view around the city and take photos of Toronto in the night.

2016-10-15 NIGHTLY STREET IN HUNTSVILLE

After arriving in Huntsville, checking in at Holiday Inn, I got more and more the nagging feel of growing hunger. Then we went to downtown, in the meantime it was about 10 pm so I took some quick photos of the main street before searching for food.

2016-09-28 HUNTSVILLE IN THE NIGHT

We wanted to visit the Algonquin Provincial Park, the nearest town was Huntsville. I liked how the lake was integrated in this township, some people came to dinner with their motor boat. 🙂 I took this photo handheld in the darkest night to test the Sony A7S..  this was ISO 25600 !!

2016-09-16 SHIBUYA CROSSING IN TORONTO

This reminded me of Shibuya crossing in Tokyo, not so big and filled by people, but looks similar from above. For taking this shot I have been in a restaurant where we got first class nachos chips with avocado dressing  🙂

2016-09-12 FAN EXPO AT TORONTO CONVENTION CENTRE

This was a very cool event with fully crowded halls of the Toronto Convention Centre and star guests like Stan Lee or William Shatner. Outside you could grab good hot dogs with sauerkraut and relish. Many of the visitors were disguised like comic and science fiction heroes. For this pano I used my iPhone.
