The old mansions with long corridors always remind me of The Shining. It was safer in the Otto Wagner Villa of the painter Ernst Fuchs. And the premises were available for a lovely photo motif.

2022-02-12 GOING HOME ON SUNDAY
Last Sunday, my wife Karin and I chose the way through the Judengasse in the first district of Vienna. I had my Sony A7R IV and Sony 24mm 1.4 GM lens, and this combo delivers excellent night photography.

2022-01-05 MAN IN THE MUSEUM
The art history museum in Vienna is more reminiscent of a magnificent palace than a museum. Colossal marble columns and wide stone stairs line the floors. Many places offer good opportunities to take photos. You almost forget to visit the exhibitions in the museum.

The last stalls of the Christkind markets will close soon. The festive season ends on January 6th with the three kings holiday. The new year is waiting for the start with full power.

2021-12-31 SCHÖNBRUNN CASTLE IN THE NIGHT
The castle walls and the decorated trees create a fantastic harmony at night. Always a good idea to have a fast lens with you. I used the Sigma 35mm 1.4 A-Mount with the LA-EA5 adapter on the Sony A7R IV for the nightly walk. A power combo for low-light photography.

2021-12-25 CHRISTMAS MARKET IN VIENNA
The Christmas markets could only open for two weeks this year. I visited the market at Schönbrunn Palace. There I bought delicious fried potatoes with an apple strudel punch. The area with the colorful stalls created a lovely Christmas atmosphere.
