2017-10-28  THE LIGHTS OF VENICE

Tourists, hobby and pro photographers fight for the best place to shoot photos from the bridges. Placing a tripod is often impossible because it would be knocked over with your camera, not a good idea. I decided to do handheld shots, where I set my elbows on the handrail, stopped breathing and concentrated on shooting the photos without shaking.  🙂

2017-10-27  NATURE AT ITS BEST

Breathing fresh, clean air between trees on a mountain and looking at the horizon with blue sky and white clouds. All ingredients for a day which refreshes mind and body and shows you the beauty of nature. Living in a city, I should do this more often, to come back to earth.

2017-10-26  LONG STAIRS IN STOCKHOLM

The ideal stairs for Runtastic-users, bringing your fitness level on a higher plateau with stair climbing. 😎   I am more the guy for weight training, but often take my Nordic-Walking sticks for weekend tours with my wife. In Stockholm, I hadn’t my sticks with me. So I left the stairs for photo shooting only. 🙂

2017-10-25  HUNTING LODGE WITH STORK’S NEST

Castle Eckartsau is an old hunting lodge which dates back to 1175. Once it was a residence of Emperor Karl I. Nowadays, the use is for classical concerts and theater. It’s a lovely “walking-around” area and the home of many storks, which make their nests on the chimneys of the castle.

2017-10-24  BUDDHA TEMPLE IN SINGAPORE

On the first day as I visited the Buddha Temple I was too late, at about 7 pm the temple was already closed. The next morning I came before noon and got rewarded by this magnificent view. One of my Singapur highlights, a great and silent place, a temple you will never forget.

2017-10-23  WINE RESTAURANT IN VIENNA “HEURIGER”

The “Heuriger” is a wine restaurant mostly with local wines and a self-service buffet with home cooked food. Sometimes you can hear live music with accordions and violins. The interior is furnished in country style and looks quaintly. A hot spot for tourists and everyone who wants to share a glass of wine in a good temper.  🙂

2017-10-21  SEATTLE MUSEUM OF ROCK

I was very excited, entering the Museum of Rock. And it fulfilled my expectations. Colossal video walls with rock bands filmed playing live concerts. Exhibition rooms with rock memorabilia, unknown anecdotes, unseen photos and audio sketches, cool cool. 😎  This whole thing was sponsored by Paul Allen, one of the Microsoft founders, a good investment for the music fans of the world.

2017-10-20  SEA BORDER BETWEEN THAILAND AND MALAYSIA

The view from Malaysia to Thailand, driving with a boat on the Andaman sea. A bit unsteady for shooting photos, with the waves and wind. Nevertheless, you have to handle it on your photo adventures.  🙂

2017-10-19  AFRICAN DRUMS

Walking around between the tents of the African Days in Vienna brought me to these guys, beating the bongo drums. The rhythm and the sound are fascinating, worth to stop and listen, and by the time, take some photos. Drumming started slow, then got faster and raised to some drumming frenzy.  🙂 😎
