On a rainy day I visited the Grand Bazaar, it’s completely roofed, so no chance to get wet 🙂 And I can tell you, don’t leave Istanbul without a visit, you can get all kind of crockery, often hand made, dried fruits in all variations, carpets, clothing, and don’t forget to bargain before you buy 🙂
This was the end of the photo walk, St. Stephen’s Cathedral in Vienna. We started at the exhibition center of “Messe Ried” in the second district in Vienna and went about 3 miles where we took hundreds of photos. It was already night so a tripod was a must, and it was interesting to see the different photo equipments of the other team mates.
After bringing back the motor boat to the rental desk, I had a look at the lake in Baysville. There I liked the impression of the mirrored water with the waterlilies. I got on my knees and took some photos. Then I had to hurry up because the crew was already on the parking lot and ready to go to the canoe tour 🙂
I would recommend to take the boat tour on the Chicago River, the sights are unmatchable. You start with a longer wait at the watergate, then you enter the part of the river which lies within the city. You get surrounded by buildings with cool architecture, can have a look at the bridges and have an entertaining guide which tells you stories and anecdotes about the city.
On my todo list in Amsterdam was visiting a flower market. I could see thousands of flower bulbs, flower seeds and young seedlings. Some plants looked so cool, that I wanted take them home, too bad, that I live more von 1000 miles away. But nevertheless, walking around was great and I could bring home some new impressions. By the way, I never saw such colorful cactuses before.
In Toronto you have the feeling being in an aspiring, trendy city. Also photos from the nightly skyline confirm this, many buildings look new and modern. I liked it, standing on the root top with a tripod and taking photos from all directions. Since there was a pool with hotel guests jumping into the water, I had to take care that my equipment stayed protected 🙂
I have seen two Red Forts in India, one in Agra and that one on the photo in New Delhi. It’s an impressive complex, I think you walk about 20 minutes beside those big walls. Inside you have a wide area of gardens and dozens of buildings, partially built with the red stones. I have seen thousands of visitors, mostly from India.
In Vienna the place in the front of the town hall is very popular. Often there are events with food tents, wine and beer bars and a chilly atmosphere. Those events have a motto, like Skating or Mountain Biking, Styria fest or Winter Ice dream,… If you are near, please visit
I have never seen so many people form different cultures on such a “small” place as on the sightseeing deck of the Niagara Falls. It’s the ultimate exploring experience, the great spectacle of the falls and the visitors from the whole world.
I like this kind of architecture from Friedensreich Hundertwasser. It’s lovely that inside the building this architecture gets continued. The lobby, the corridors, the rooms, nothing is really straight, all a bit rounded, it’s a pleasure atmosphere. There it’s always warm and you smell a good scent and then you have the thermal bath to relax.
