2016-10-25 CIRQUE DU SOLEIL in TORONTO

It was a great experience to see the Cirque du Soleil in its home town Toronto. Luzia is the newest show, with great music, water effects and spectacular acrobatic performance. One of the events you will remember for a very long time. For a shot handheld in completely darkness, the Leica X Vario did a good job.

2016-10-24 RAINY DAY IN MUNICH

During a rainy day in Munich I tried to take photos of the rain. This is one sample of the window in my hotel room with raindrops on it. Taking the photo in the dry zone and looking out to the rain is much easier than doing it outside in the rain …  🙂

2016-10-23 RED BUILDINGS IN INDIA

Nowhere I haven’t ever seen so many red buildings as in India, like Red Fort in Agra, Red Fort in New Delhi. Even in the backyarod of the Tomb of I’timād-ud-Daulah in Agra you find many “mini” Red Forts like shown here on the photo. Many of these buildings are sights for their own.

2016-10-22 WATER, TOWN AND WATER IN MALTA

I like this perspective, water of the pool in the front, then buildings of Sliema and then water of the sea. This view can be achieved at the pool of The Palace Hotel. After taking photos you can jump into the pool and then on the right side there is a delicious Sushi bar  🙂

2016-10-21 TORONTO IN THE NIGHT

In the big cities I always search after a root top place to take photos with a tripod. In the Park Hyatt in Toronto I was lucky, because the outdoor pool was high enough to get a good view around the city and take photos of Toronto in the night.

2016-10-20 STORES IN BELLEVUE

After arriving at the shopping mall in Bellevue via Uber my first way was into the Apple store, followed by the Microsoft store. I even saw a Tesla and a Mini store between clothing and cosmetics stores  🙂 . But then I was surprised that there was also a Leica store, from which I took a photo immediately.

2016-10-19 INSIDE THE WILLIS TOWER

For a tourist the Willis tower provides cool views from the top all over Chicago. I went some rounds to explore the views more often, every time I could see new findings and interesting buildings. A must for all Chicago visitors.

2016-10-18 SPARKLER IN P1

At my visit in Munich the famous disco P1 was on my agenda, after the Oktoberfest all taxis were busy so we took a rickshaw (3 man and one female driver  🙂 ) to get there. Since it was very dark inside, I waited for a specific bright moment to take a photo, then came the sparklers …

2016-10-17 TENEMENT IN BERLIN

Berlin is full of tenements, built with very strict and simple form, rectangular, no fancies, clean, classical buildings. For me this looks really German.

2016-10-16 MOSQUE OF MORE RELIGIONS

The Hagia Sophia is an Islamic mosque, but has also roots as a Christian church. A fascinating story and a building which leaves you impressed. Inside you get many different views, there’s also a higher floor and balconies so you can look at this mosque from different angles and explore the art in different ways.
