2020-07-14 BRIDGE IN TOULOUSE

The impressive bridges in Toulouse invite you to cross. Even if the opposite side is not the real goal, you want to go over there. The artistic lighting fixtures give the bridges an additional touch. Lingering in the middle and looking at the river is a relaxing end to the day.

2020-07-12 THE CAFE WITH THE PIANO PLAYER

I prefer Cafes with a piano player. However, it is hard to find one nowadays. The Cafe Prückel at the Ringstraße in Vienna has the ambiance and the right interior to sit comfortably and listen to the background music. My wife is already on the way. 🙂

2020-07-11 THE STREETS IN LONDON

Could it be that London has the most exciting streets to photograph? In any case, after supper, I came across a new motif every few meters. It is a fulfilling path when going from the restaurant to the hotel, and you come home with a lot of new photos in your portfolio.

2020-07-10 STATUE IN BUDAPEST

Budapest is very safe, and it is only a 3 hours drive from Vienna, I did my first visit to a foreign country after the COVID-outbreak. The city has many similarities to Vienna. In former times, Austria and Hungary were one country named Austria-Hungary. With an E-bike, it was easy to explore the city, and we could stop at many attractions.

2020-07-09 WATERBUS AT LIDO DI VENEZIA

This public transport is only available in Venice. My wife and I had a 3-day ticket and could use all the water buses. Here at the Venice Lido, we were able to catch one of the last boats because we still had the 20-minute drive to St. Mark’s Square across the bay. Otherwise, there would have been little chance of reaching our hotel.

2020-07-08 BAZAAR IN JERUSALEM

I think you get almost everything your heart desires at the Bazar in Jerusalem. From clothing to toys to pomegranate juice to freshly brewed coffee, you can see everything in these narrow streets. The bazaar is its eco-system and cultural experience.

2020-07-07 THE BIG TOWER IN A FRENCH CITY

I was on the way from Cognac to the Atlantic coast with my wife when we decided to take a break for refreshment. This great city with the medieval tower welcomed us. A butcher offered French ham. We bought it and sat on the park bench and were able to inspect this majestic building. When the rain started we were finished and continued our journey.

2020-07-06 THE OLD WALLS OF VIENNA

Thick columns hold the ceiling of the Palais Ferstel. One of the passageways that connect two streets and show the grandeur of the architecture. For such photos, I choose black and white.

2020-07-03 MY WIFE ON THE BIKE

After the Czech border visit, we were on the way to my brother’s wife’s house. The wheat fields continued in Austria. For this photo, I could catch a storehouse for the wheat after harvesting. That’s typical for the rural areas in Lower Austria.
