The markets and shops have already closed, you can still see on the sidewalks and streets remnants of the busy life during the day. The houses are lit and occasionally night owls go back and forth between the bars and wine pubs.

2019-06-23 BLACK NIGHT
The streets of the night, one of my favorite motives. I had my camera on a tripod positioned and experimented with the shutter speeds to get the optimal strip of taillights as a contrast to the darkness of the night and the street.

2019-06-21 WALKING AROUND IN EDINBURGH
Edinburgh is a great movie city. When walking through the streets, I think of many possible movie scenes that you could film between these walls. Centuries-old and historic buildings set you back in adventurous times.

2019-06-19 THE OLD DODGE BUS IN MALTA
Unfortunately, public buses in Malta have been replaced by new ones. The old orange design was iconic and unique in traffic. But you can still see tourist buses that reflect the design of the 50s. Like this bus in the photo, with which we drove to a northern beach.

2019-06-18 TREE WITH SUN AT THE WINE GARDENS
Driving around on the hills with wine gardens in the UNESCO heritage Wachau was a pleasure. Lovely villages and terraced vineyards shaped the impression. I took some panoramic photos of the river valley of the Danube and black and white photos of the vineyards and nature.

2019-06-17 PORTRAIT WITH LIGHTS
At times I persuade my wife Karin to take photo sessions. As long as their patience persists, I make experimental portraits with different lighting effects in the background. More and more, I like portrait-pictures, where the background brings some excitement or cool effects.

2019-06-15 COLUMNS IN MASADA
It paid off to go down the long walkways in Masada. I arrived at a plateau where I was able to admire these beautiful antique columns. What a tremendous achievement it must have been at the time to drag these stones to the top of the mountain.

2019-06-14 THE LAST SNOW
I wondered how it is possible that at 35 degrees Celsius still snow remains. But on the mountain, Rax with a height of 1943 meters were staying snow deposits to see. My daughter used the opportunity to feel the natural spectacle. This photo was shot on June 5th, middle in the summer.

2019-06-12 THE METRO IN LOS ANGELES
I was surprised seeing two metro lines in Los Angeles, in front of my hotel. It ends in Santa Monica. From there it goes far into the city area. I crossed the lines several times during driving around in the city, however I never used it.

2019-06-11 SILENCE ON A SUNDAY EVENING
Sundays afternoon are more silent than the other days in the week when evening approaches. A good synonym is the quiet river Wien with the yellow glowing lanterns. This is the typical evening atmosphere on Sunday evenings in Vienna.
