2017-10-21  SEATTLE MUSEUM OF ROCK

I was very excited, entering the Museum of Rock. And it fulfilled my expectations. Colossal video walls with rock bands filmed playing live concerts. Exhibition rooms with rock memorabilia, unknown anecdotes, unseen photos and audio sketches, cool cool. 😎  This whole thing was sponsored by Paul Allen, one of the Microsoft founders, a good investment for the music fans of the world.

2017-10-20  SEA BORDER BETWEEN THAILAND AND MALAYSIA

The view from Malaysia to Thailand, driving with a boat on the Andaman sea. A bit unsteady for shooting photos, with the waves and wind. Nevertheless, you have to handle it on your photo adventures.  🙂

2017-10-19  AFRICAN DRUMS

Walking around between the tents of the African Days in Vienna brought me to these guys, beating the bongo drums. The rhythm and the sound are fascinating, worth to stop and listen, and by the time, take some photos. Drumming started slow, then got faster and raised to some drumming frenzy.  🙂 😎

2017-10-18  EARLY EVENING IN A BATHING RESORT

This bathing resort in Pörtschach am Wörther See has it all. Green meadows for the deck chairs, drinking water quality of the lake, wooden jetties, slides for the young and young at heart, 🙂 a cafe with cold wheat beer. And in the early evening the right place for a photo session.

2017-10-17  SEATTLE, GARDEN OF GLASS INDOOR

This magnificent exhibition started indoor, with dark rooms and the illuminated plants, meadows, flowers, shrubs, all made of colored glass. I had only my iPhone with me, with just 20% battery power left. First I discovered all the rooms and the outdoor area to calculate how to proceed with taking the photos before my phone gives up. In the end, I got three dozens shot with all areas covered.  🙂

2017-10-16  POLICE ROADBLOCK IN SAN FRANCISCO

Driving with the Hippie Volkswagen-Bus to the coastline of San Francisco stopped immediately at that roadblock. The police were very strict, so we had to look after a parking lot and go all the way down to the coastline. But we were in walking mood anyway, so we added that distance to our planned coast walk at the sea.  🙂

2017-10-15  MUSICIAN AT THE PHOTO WALK

The Trey Ratcliff Photo-Walk brought us into the park between the Natural History Museum and the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna. There was that street musician saxophone player. Within minutes he was the victim of a photographer mob where everyone tried to capture “street-musician-shots.” But he stayed pretty calm and continued with his performance.  🙂

2017-10-14  WELL AT THE VIENNA STATE OPERA

At the Vienna State Opera, there are two wells, one on the left and the other on the right side. I have chosen the left one, which represents joy, dance, and levity, to remain on the positive side. 🙂 The right one shows grief, love, and vengeance.

2017-10-13  ISLAND WITH RAINFOREST

Beach at Langkawi, an island in the Andaman Sea. Most parts of the island consist of a rainforest; the humidity is high. In the northern part, you get picture-postcard photos of the beach. The infrastructure is excellent, airport, streets and, most important, fast internet on the whole island.  🙂  Great nature – easy to explore.
