2016-07-02 HONG KONG BUILDING WITH BALCONIES
With limited space balconies are some kind of luxury for buildings in Hong Kong. You don’t see them very often, they make the constructions more expensive and time consuming. The same will be true with the prices of those apartments.

2016-07-01 EASTERN VIENNA FROM LEOPOLDSBERG
From Leopoldsberg (425 m) you get a view over the whole city of Vienna. I prefer night shots where I can catch the glimmering lights of the city. Often such a photo session lasts about 3-4 hours, where I test most of my lenses and cameras. It’s always interesting if you compare the results and think about the settings you have made to get the specific looks.

2016-06-30 ITALIAN BORDER IN SWITZERLAND
The landscape of the Swiss-Italian border is a real eye catcher. Not a bad view, isn’ it? It combines both, best of Switzerland and best of Italy. It’s easy to cross the border, Switzerland is no EU member, but there are no real border controls.

2016-06-29 STREET SCENE IN HONG KONG
There is so much life in the streets of Hong Kong, often it seems that everyone is in a hurry. But that’s common for all of the big cities of the world, the cities which never sleep. Cool to participate and immerse in the city.

A very neat hotel at the main street in Ascona. This is the Italian part of Switzerland you can see this at the name “Albergo” which stands for hotel. The nice thing is, that most of the people speak Italian, French, German and of course English. So you don’t get under stress if you want to communicate 🙂

2016-06-27 WATER LILY IN ST. GALLEN
The botanical garden of St. Gallen has thousands of photo motives. I couldn’t stop to take photos, my wife got little impatient…, but in the end I went home with hundreds of pictures. Please go there if you are in this city, you will be a friend of botanical gardens after this visit. The arrangements and presentation of the flowers and plants is first class.

2016-06-26 GLADIATOR FOR REAL
If you are in the imposing Colosseum in Rome you can imagine how the battles between gladiators, slaves and wild animals happened in this arena. From its size, it is bigger than many football stadiums and this was built nearly 2000 years ago. One tip for entrance, buy an online ticket in advance to avoid the queues of visitors, I have never seen so many before any sight I have visited.
