In Huntsville the bars had jetties. The residents parked their boats instead of cars. After dinner, you could drive home on the lake towards the sunset.

2021-02-28 CHURCH AT NIGHT IN ITALY
Italian cities at night bring the best atmosphere to your photos. The colors and shadows sit perfectly, a joy for a photographer. I think the Leica M240 is the predestined camera for Italian street photography. The photo shows a church in Genova.

2021-02-26 ATHENS EVENING DINNER
On the next day, my friend Marios showed us a beautiful restaurant. I was especially impressed by the landing stage out to the sea. With my Leica M240, I could catch the scene, photographing from our restaurant table. By the way, we had excellent Greek finger food and red wine.

2021-02-25 ATHENS GUARDIANS
My last and only flight in the second half of 2020 was to Athens. It was a business trip, but my wife Karin came after two days after. On Saturday evening, we were watching the guardians before the parliament in Athens, a memorable spectacle. I shot from wide-angle to tele, from color to black and white, and with different frames.

2021-02-23 ABOVE THE ROOFS OF PRAGUE
The many nested roofs with the reddish roof tiles and pointed church towers in between are among Prague’s hallmarks. It is advisable to go to one of the observation towers to capture the city’s full surroundings in photos.

2021-02-22 WALKING THROUGH THE FOG
This time we decided to take a Sunday morning walk. We were with friends on a hill called Bisamberg. Some were disappointed because we couldn’t enjoy the prospect of a unique view from the top but, for me, an opportunity to take photos of the foggy trees.

2021-02-21 FRENCH CITY WITH TRAM RAILS
Beware of the tram rails that meander through the city, suddenly the tram comes towards you and you have to swerve quickly. It happened to me during the day.

2021-02-19 HALL IN PRAGUE CASTLE
It was imposing, imposing this hall in Prague Castle. Massive structures and lines that set accents on the vaulted ceiling. You should plan at least half a day for this site and have enough extra batteries for the camera.

2021-02-18 COFFEE TO GO IS ALWAYS AN OPTION
There are currently only those bakeries that are open in Vienna and offer snacks and coffee to take away. Consumption is only possible in front of the restaurant, a hot coffee in the cold season is always welcome.
